Cabot Farms Open House & Estate Sale

If you frequent Powder House Square, you’ve certainly walked past the former home of Cabot Farms and On Broadway and wondered, perhaps even fantasized, about what lies behind the glass-block façade. Well, on November 7 & 8, you can finally satisfy your curiosity. For the first time in 40 years you can take a brief glimpse into the past and peel back the curtain a bit at 882 Broadway in Somerville as we open the doors for an open house and estate sale.

There are wonderful treasures to be had, artifacts of Somerville’s past, as the Garden Room is open. This is just the first step as we awaken this long-slumbering landmark. While we are beginning the process of rehoming the dusty relics of our past, we are also looking toward the future. We would love for people to come share their thoughts or their memories, both about their recollections of this once-vibrant community hub and about how we might share this space with the public, again, in the 21st century.

Estate Sale/Open House: November 7 & 8, 10am – 3pm, 882 Broadway, Somerville, MA
