Hand-Knotted Persian Kashan Wool Area Rug: A hand-knotted Persian Kashan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, indigo, sky blue, ivory, saffron, olive, and camel. The cranberry colored field features a central diamond pendant medallion, with coordinating spandrels, along with an abundance of scrolling floral and foliate motifs. Framing the field is an ornate herati patterned border with floral meander guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a natural warp fringe to the ends. Labeled.Finely Hand-Knotted Signed Chinese Silk Area Rug: A finely hand-knotted Signed Chinese silk area rug. This rug is styled after a Persian Kerman rug and rendered in a palette of peach, ivory, powder blue, cranberry, rose, olive, and camel. The peach colored field features a large central floral pendant medallion the ornate medallion coordinates with the intricately floral filled spandrels. Framing the field is an ornate stylized herati pattern with floral meander guard borders, and sawtooth patterned minor borders. Finishing the rug are triple overcast selvedges and a fine knotted natural warp fringe to the rosette embellished and signed skirted ends.
