Recent discoveries: 5 pieces of furniture are from the H.D. Etchison Cabinetry and Casket Company of Frederick MD. Mr. Etchison was a prominent business man and community builder in Frederick in the late 19th and early 20th century. As an undertaker, as they all did, they also built caskets. His furniture and embalming business was in the building the Civil War Medicine Museum occupies and later when taken over by his son, on South Market Street where the Re-max office is near the Carroll Creek. The curved glass oak curio, the walnut "washstand", the baby crib, the "Troll headboard book-matched walnut ( the grain resembles a fairy tale troll's face...) with a matching chest of drawers and mirror. All of these pieces are in excellent antique condition and reasonably priced. They will not be discounted daily. If you want them, talk to Laurie to work out a deal on a few of them.
Also discovered is an original 1907 Stickley 720 child's desk in cross cut oak. A little worn but none the less, a Stickley. Bids will be taken on this piece and a Buy it Now price will be posted. THIS PIECE IS NOT AT 50% OFF
