Historic Ellicott City, Inc. (HEC) was recently notified that the owner of Mt. Ida (see below) has signed a contract to sell the home. Mt. Ida has been home to the administrative offices of both Historic Ellicott City, Inc. (since 2011) and the Friends of the Patapsco Female Institute (since 1993). The two non-profit organizations have had the pleasure and benefit of renting the space for several years. Mt. Ida was also HEC's 28th Decorator Show House in 2013.
