This Pakistani-made wool rug is rendered in a palette of sage-emerald, black, ivory, camel, and pink. It features a classic lattice pattern containing Tekke guls interspersed with Chemche bow and arrow guls over a sage-emerald field. Framing the field are twelve wraparound borders over sage-emerald, including starbursts, eight-pointed stars, and diamond patterns. Above the wraparound borders, at the top and bottom of the rug, are horizontal panels, one containing dyrnak guls, the other a diamond lattice pattern. One of the dyrnak guls frames an inscription, likely the signature of the weaver. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at top and bottom with knotted ivory cotton warp fringe. This print is signed in plate and is signed and numbered 72/600 by hand to the lower right corner, and is presented in a red and tan frame behind acrylic glass and a double mat, with a wire and notation reading “Waterfowl Fest November 9, 2007 East MD.” Also included is Ten Pins, depicting a stacked cluster of ducks, titled to the lower margin, and signed in plate to the lower right along with an inscription in ink. They are presented behind mats, under glass in frames with hanging wires to the verso.Limited Edition Offset Lithograph Prints of Waterfowl: A set of four limited edition offset lithographs on paper after paintings of waterfowl. These works feature two prints after artwork used for migratory bird hunting stamps issued, which were issued by the U.S. Department of the Interior in 1984 and 2012.
