Items of Value, Inc
Description & Details
You won't believe how many items have been tastefully displayed in this tiny house and how many more are now displayed in storage rooms, the basement, and the 3-car garage. The owner had a decorator's talent for making the most of small rooms. She managed to incorporate large framed items and furniture plus smaller items superbly into the living room, dining room, bedroom, and other rooms. She also created a most inviting family room downstairs.
She liked the artist, Botero, so purchased and displayed many copies of his artwork throughout the house. Two are limited editions. Botero recently died so there is current renewed interest in his artwork. The living room includes a china cabinet, sideboard, and upholstered furniture. Take your time to enjoy looking at all the items on the fireplace mantle, on the sideboard, plus in and on top of the china cabinet. Not only did the owner have a large (3-tier) brass chandelier hung in the small dining room, she managed to add there a tall case clock, a huge coocoo clock, 2 wall sconces, plus curio cabinet. The curio cabinet is filled with collectables. The master bedroom shows off a large 4-poster bed plus similar furniture. Note more framed colorful artwork there and in the hallway, which you might enjoy in your home.
The owner had an interest in Asian items. We have moved the two large blue/white jars from the garage to the sunroom. There you will discover a FINE display cabinet filled with Asian items. She especially liked blue/white. We have moved many of the Asian blue/white jars from the garage into the house but had to leave the 6' high Christmas candles and many other items out there for lack of space in the house. Discover a variety of berets and stylish hats on the bed, "like new" doll house in the sunroom.
The garage has "treasures" including a black hawk peddle vehicle in "like new" condition. Also in the garage, you will find 2 small round high tables that you might use. The garage is FULL of hand tools, hardware, odds and ends, 2 riding mowers, 3 walking mowers. The outdoor cook grill is at the right of the garage. A picnic table and benches group made of metal pipe with metal top is outside, also for sale. You will find FINE glazed plant pots on the back patio along with a round metal mesh table, and fine hanging ferns in good condition.
Be amazed at the items assembled in the middle bedroom and study. Who will take home the white mail box on legs? Who will buy the mantle clock with a funny face in place of a numerated face? It is a superb whimsical item. Take time to look around and you will discover many quirky items that may bring you pleasure. Another one of them is the 6' fabric cactus in the family room. Vintage items include a red wood rocking horse. We have 3 chandeliers plus 2 other ceiling light fixtures for sale.
We have brought in folding tables to display many items. The Christmas items fill up half of the basement with more upstairs and more in the garage. They include 2 "new in the box" German Steinbach nutcrackers. Take a break and sit down on the wicker bench and chairs to simply enjoy simply being there. Downstairs, the pair of modern teak tables are for sale as well as the large flat screen TV and shelf unit. We have left the guitar in its original box there, but the accordion is in the middle room upstairs and the telescope is in the sunroom.
Plan to spend a couple of hours at this sale. Also bring empty boxes because we have none to give you. You will find this sale very entertaining and intriguing. Also, note that there are 4 eateries within a half mile of the house: Subway, pig pickin', Asian, and seafood.
