You will see big changes in our showroom for this month's sale.  Having sold many pieces of furniture last month gave us space to display new arrivals.  Also, we now have 2 rug racks to hang 22 rugs.  This will make it easier for you to inspect them.  The latest consignments to us include MANY framed artworks, some oils, many prints.  Note in particular a pair of "outrageous" large paintings of flamingos.   In addition, we have extremely RARE (does not mean expensive however) primitive antique furniture and decorative items:  rustic pier table, large "tramp art" picture frame, large foliate carved frame, mahogany display cabinet on chest, antique chest of drawers, large oval foldover demilune table, antique full-size 4-poster bed, 1920s iron andirons.  On the more recent end, we have a pair of diminutive chests of drawers as nightstands, large multidrawer dresser, repro 4-poster "rice" bed.  Who will take home the architectural piece we have of a plastercast lion head?

This will be your first time to view LARGE empty painting frames we have on consignment from a new client. They include "tramp art" work, sponge-painted brown/beige, "tortoise shell" glass, primitive spatter-painted, and foliate-carved.  These are in addition to the 200+ frames we offer you, ready to be cut down for your new uses.

Before coming to the sale, walk around your house or imagine your vacation house to decide what additional table lamps you need or want to replace.  We have acquired many more table lamps plus hanging light fixtures.  Among them is a nice bird and foliage Chinese cloisonne jar lamp, an antique American converted oil lamp having blue glass font, handpainted ceramic cylinder lamps, brass lamps, billiard table overhead light, Tiffany-style hanging light.

Among the new arrivals in framed art, note especially a large FINE watercolor of the outside of an antique shop with items set out on the sidewalk in front.  It sets the mood for this coming fall season.  Also looking toward fall, we have just received a few framed fall scenes and more duck prints.  We are offering again Toshi Yoshida's triptych "Friendly Garden".  This will be your second time to enjoy looking at and perhaps purchasing one of the small 19th century paintings that we hung last month.

If they are to your liking, you might take home the Daum glass plate featuring a blue glass cameo portrait of George Gershwin or one of 3 remaining Murano glass blocks with swimming fish.  Other important glass we have includes St. Lambert candlesticks, St. Louis cut crystal goblets, Waterford candlesticks/bowls/goblets.  This sale will be our last offering of black glass.  We have assembled this collection on a green stone table.  A large set of pink Depression glass tableware we have displayed on a dining table we just received.  This will be a unique opportunity for the collector to acquire so may pieces of a matched set.

You will find "colored thread" design goblets plus decanter on the pink granite-veneered small dining table.  A sizeable collection of colored pottery takes up 12 shelves in our second showrooom. There you will discover an Asian-style dining set we just received set with a Royal Doulton dinnerware set we also just received.  We have added a few more rings to our growing collection as well as repousse silver trays that are probably from South America.  We have put out three more Lalique items, one a round cosmetic box with female on lid.  Look for it in one of our showcases beside the Swarovski animals.  Larger Hummel angels (get ready for Christmas) and Meissen figures are in a large showcase in the entry room.

Clocks are everywhere.  Look for 2 Victorian shelf clocks.  We also finally found a working key to open a tall case clock (oak) with wonderful tone chimes.  A colonnaded mantle clock awaits you in the small jewelry room.  We have put out for sale the fall decorations, so come enjoy them while you look around.  By popular demand, we will have our Christmas trees and MANY Christmas items set up for our November sale.
