This weekend of 20-21 June will be the last time we do sales at 4824 Stamp Road; Temple Hills, MD 20748. After that, we will move some items to my own warehouse, (on the same street) instead of renting, donate a lot of items, and discard more. This is LAST CALL for the following types of items: gold and silver coins (since I have bids on each one), fabric remnants, glass ovals and roundels, marble/granite slabs, wall mirrors, most framed pictures/prints, most table lamps, dining tables and chairs, king-size custom-made solid cherry 4-poster bed frame, most of the shelf units and bookcases, most of the chests of drawers (both antique and contemporary), sheet music. I am sorry that I do not have time to go back to each photo listed to note the last reduced asking price, so you will just have to come to see what remains that you might like. Many of the cabinets, dressers, hutches (note the antique oak and walnut pieces), china cabinets, buffets/sideboards are now reduced to $100 each. We do not wish to have to move them to my own warehouse/showroom -- which will become my only showroom after this weekend. Renovation work there is continuing apace, to convert storage space into sale space. That part is exciting.
We have just received on consignment Lionel train cars. Please see the photos of them. Know that every one is accompanied by its original box, which is important for value. We have received a few more paintings for sale and have also uncovered a box of small framed paintings. Look for them as you walk around. Note the antique painting of a girl stroking a cat. You might want to do price research on the painting by Clark of the Native American on horseback -- a collector's item. The collection of Baccarat-type glass paper weights with male portraits are by Franklin Mint, new in their boxes. Also know that we have already accepted on consignment more coins. These will be offered at my showroom late July. Who has room for an antique French tall case clock that is 99" high? It has a handsome case, large repousse face, and strong chime, offered this weekend @ $600, or we have to move it. Sorry, I forgot to tell you also that we have three "Ching Garden" plates by Mottahedeh. Look for them in the tall narrow black display cases. They still have their original (very expensive) price stickers on the back.
We are now back to doing on-site estate sales. Our first one is TENTATIVELY scheduled for the last weekend of June in Vienna. The two children are moving out what they wish to keep. Then the rest is for sale. This is what we call a "digging sale". For those of you familiar with the term, it means that you will have the opportunity to open boxes and unwrap items. I plan to price only a few items. The rest is negotiable at checkout. I am told that the refrigerator/washer/dryer will be for sale. We will have two days to sell all that we can. Then the rest will go to the dump since the house has already sold and is awaiting renovation. Sign up to receive our email announcements if you have not done so already, so that you will receive our sale announcements. To do this, go to my website, "itemsofvalue.com" and to the "estate sales" subsection. There find the line in blue letters for you to subscribe to receive our emails.
Please remember to wear a mask this weekend and to all of our future sales (probably for a long time into the future). Be safe, Jerry Ford.
PLEASE BRING NEWSPAPERS WITH YOU. WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF THEM. MANY THANKS.
Thank you for using EstateSales.NET. You're the best!
