Items of Value, Inc
Description & Details
This is the fall reopening of our 2,500sqft showroom which was closed for the summer. For those of you have been here before, you will be mesmerized at the hundreds of new items we offer you, items we picked up from several clients. We are posting many photos to show you the diversity of them. Highlighted is a personal collection of Asian items spanning 2 centuries. They include thangkas, bodhisatvas, brass castings/. The largest bodhisatva is 71" high. We also have small Asian furniture items like cabinets and stools. Touch the very smooth finish on our Thai furniture pieces. You seldom see such fine cabinetry and these pieces are made of rosewood. From another collector we have fine Thai pottery. You will enjoy seeing the variety in their design, color, and size.
Next is a collection of early radio memorabilia. It includes framed posters and photographs plus radios. You will especially enjoy looking at the radio orchestra photo. Next are vintage office items like an oak rolltop desk, two chairs, antique oak file cabinet, smaller chests. If you ever needed folding bookstands/racks, we have a variety for you of different heights and widths. We have placed a desk lamp with green glass shade on top of the antique oak desk, added an antique typewriter from another client and a period swivel chair from yet a third client. This ensemble is ready to photograph for a magazine article on vintage and antique American memorabilia or for you to take home.
Due to lack of space, we have positioned framed items in front of display shelves. You may be interested in the very large portrait photo of Beckett accompanied by his signature or a vintage portrait of Byron in a period frame. You will certainly be intrigued by the miniature copy of an early printing press the kind used by Benjamin Franklin, vintage table lamps with colored glass pendants, small collection of beaded hanging ornaments, Art Deco pottery figures, small collection of colored glass curtain tiebacks. You will find 8 miniature ceramic Chinese horses in a vitrine. Also look for the Stieff spider, vintage but looking brand new.
We have placed more books that we picked up from two clients in an antique barrister bookcase with dropfront glass doors. The bookcase is also for sale. In addition to all of this, we have added over 600 DVDs and over 300 CDs. We had to empty out several more shelves in order to put these out. We are going to offert he DVDs and CDs into December, then donate them before Christmas. We are withholding the Christmas CDs until our December sale. We have added 16 pounds of costume jewelry.
So, plan on having an extraordinarily good time at this showroom sale. It is a FINE opportunity to see a diversity of items and learn more about world history. We accept VISA and Mastercard credit cards in payment at a 5% surcharge. We do not accept Venmo because they charge us commission.
