Heritage Collectibles of Maine was originally a bricks and mortar shop, but after Linda's husband John died tragically in 2016, the shop was closed, and the business became mostly on-line, with inventory available at Linda's other business offices.  However, the workload of the two businesses is too much for one person to keep up with, so reluctantly Heritage Collectibles is closing to allow Linda to concentrate on her other business, as well as spending as much time as possible with her almost 4 year old grandson.

This sale will take place in two parts, with the first part held on June 26 & 27, and the second sometime in late July.  (The July sale will have the bulk of the antiques we still have in stock, as well as nearly 300 pieces of brass, lots of costume jewelry, vintage and contemporary books, and a mix of other super cool items.)

Although this is just a partial listing, here's some of what you'll find this weekend:

A) Furniture: some antique, some mid century, and quite a bit of contemporary.  We have many bookcases - real wood (inc a set of green painted ones) as well as some newer bookcases, a pair of cranberry MCM chairs and another set of MCM Eames-style kitchen chairs (probably knock offs), a college dorm-sized mattress & box spring (from Bob's), an Amish jelly cabinet and an Amish pine open display, a great oak desk (on the smaller side), a metal cabinet, an antique dry sink, a set of 4 Henredon kitchen chairs, a Henredon sofa table, a white rocking chair with carved faces, 3 metal MCM bookcases, a vintage stereo with metal cart.... you name it.

B) Box Lots: It's the classic "something for everyone"!  Flea marketers and other shoppers will find over 100 box lots of angels, bells, linens, small plaques, ephemera, vintage dolls, picture frames, office supplies, craft items and bags of broken jewelry for crafters, candles & candle sticks, small table top easels, old bottles, milk glass & other glassware, matched sets of vintage dishes, party supplies (Shrek, Toy Story, Madagascar, treat bags, birthday candles), and more!

C) Office Equipment, Furniture & Supplies.  Includes a pair of wonderful vintage leather office chairs, a set of three MCM waiting room chairs, 4 burgundy office chairs on wheels, a set of 4 tan office chairs, plexi sign holders, desk accessories, printers, lamps, etc.

D) Music: an Applecreek dulcimer with carry case & dulcimer sheet music; a vintage metronome, a handmade wooden stand by John Stass, art, sheet music, some vinyl, and more.

E)  Kitchen Tableware & Appliances: We have several sets of vintage & antique dishes (priced super inexpensive), an electric fry pan, rotisserie broiler ovens (2), a Cuisinart vegetable steamer, a warming tray, etc.

F) Gardening Supplies: over fifty 8x8x4" vintage glass blocks (some green, some translucent), planters & pottery, garden tools, statuary (our "Green Girl" and a large-ish ceramic horsie), and other garden ornaments. Also, quite a few gardening books!

G) Rugs & Runners: some very nice ones (including Martha Stewart), as well as some vintage.

H) Loads of Artwork!  Includes a set of Marilyn photos, some amazing classic and classy nude art, original paintings & photography, and lots of prints & reproductions.

I) Items from Our "Salvage" Closet. That is, stuff that could use some significant repair, or just things we want to get rid of.

J) Tools and Supplies.  Guy stuff.  (At least, it's guy stuff if you're as un-handy and klutzy as I am.)

K) Electrical & Lighting: Many vintage and contemporary lamps and chandeliers!

L) Craft & Retail Supplies: 10 do-it-yourself craft globes, lots of crinkle, baskets, plastic basket sleeves, ribbons, paper bags, display pieces, and other items.

M) Maine Items: Pottery, books, bottles, ephemera, advertising, a framed photo of one of L/A's first balloon fests, paintings by Maine artists, and vintage pieces.

N) Maps, Framed & Not: Mostly areas in Maine but including some New Hampshire maps.

O) Cast Iron & Other Metals: Although most of our nearly 300 pieces of brass will be displayed in Part Two of our sale, we have some great other metal items, including 3 very large switchplates, cast iron silhouettes and trivets, and more.

P) Military & History: A set of miniature lead soldiers, and a few other items.  We also have hundreds of books, although I probably won't be able to get many out for this sale.

Q) Interesting Items: an Icelandic lava sculpture of trolls, a Koji warrior roof tile, an elephant planter by Jayme, an "Elvis" blanket (!), what appears to be a wooden inlaid prayer folder, a lamp awarded to a Bingham Maine water company employee, made with piping and a hard hat, ceramic alligator head shaped napkin rings, a very old unopened package of cigarettes, and other gems!

And more!

We've been working hard at pulling this all together, and will have plenty more photos soon!
