THE PERFECT SALE FOR FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND!

A SPECIAL SALE THAT SHOWCASES A VERY INTERESTING MAN'S LIFE, HIS HOME, CAREER, HOBBIES, AND HIS COLLECTIONS!

Stuart Shuster graduated from the University of Cincinnati (BA Industrial Design 1962), well trained for the leading design firms of  Harley-Earl Associates, Peter Muller-Munk Associates, then joined General Motors in 1964. At GM, he was a designer working on corporate identification; the mid-60s Pontiac GTO emblems; late-1960s to late 70s Pontiac Firebird, numerous Truck and Bus design solutions; furniture and appliance (Frigidaire) design, creating poster concepts for many installations at the Detroit Institute of Arts, among numerous other design assignments where he showcased his talents.

He served in the US Army Reserves (Staff Sergeant) & Boy Scouts of America (Commissioner), among many other board and guild positions. He was a renowned model railroader creating masterpiece layouts for the Lionel and Carlisle and Finch marques, his extensive collection a part of this sale. He was also a talented Photographer who maintained a full darkroom and leaves behind thousands of images, many framed in his home. His other collections mostly revolved around modes of transportation, and beyond the trains, it includes planes, boats, and cars. The sale includes many items and models he collected in these themes, as well as artwork, ephemera, and a library with large sections of books on each. His library also showcases his interests in the American Revolution, Industrial Design, History, among many other books.

Stuart also collected toys, and his large collection is included in this sale. In addition to vintage and antique toys, tin trucks and farm machinery, he has a wonderful collection of toys derived from vehicles and characters created and designed by Stu's son Jay Shuster for the Star Wars movies and for Pixar animated films, including Wall-e, Cars, & The Incredibles. Jay is an Art Director/Production Designer, currently with Pixar, and this large collection of his creations are mostly all new in their original packaging and many have been autographed by Jay Shuster - very desirable for the serious toy collector!

The home's furnishings are a beautiful blend of antiques, Primitives, vintage traditional - and a little mid-century to add to the interest!

Be prepared to spend some time at this sale - there's sooo much to see!!!
