ARTIST’S MID-CENTURY MASTERPIECE IN BIRMINGHAM!

We are very honored to bring you this amazing sale for the family of Sally Angell Parsons, who passed away in February at the age of 90.

Sally was a founding member of Birmingham Bloomfield Art Association and a Life Governor of Cranbrook Academy of Art's Board of Governors, having served for over 30 years. She was also Associate Director of the Robert Kidd Gallery for over 25 years and a passionate and talented artist in her own right. 

Sally designed her Mid-Century modern home, which was built in 1960. Her interest in contemporary art straddled all genres from painting, sculpture, and ceramics to fiber and glass, which is represented in the pieces she collected and displayed in her home. Many of those art pieces will be for sale, along with the Mid-Century furnishings she chose for her home, including pieces by Edward Wormley for Dunbar, Gio Ponti, Marcel Breuer, Harvey Probber, Estelle & Erwin Laverne, T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings, and many others. We will also be selling many of Sally's own works, framed and unframed, and her Steinway Model S 5'1" Black Baby Grand Piano!
