This is the Granger home and it’s stocked to the gills with Antiques, Collectibles, Primitives, Mid-Century Mod, and Vintage, you name we have it!
As you walk in through the side door into the Dining Room you will see a massive collection of VHS tapes and an exquisite collection of Tea Cups & Saucers, you will find two Sterling Silver Tea Sets, a closet full of glassware and china, (Hall, R.S.Prussia, Yellow ware, Flow blue, Jadeite and more) and some lovely hand embroidered table cloths. There are Yard Long pictures, a huge Libbey gold leaf set including an ice bucket, rock glasses, shot glasses, tumblers all in a holder, and a very nice table with four chairs two leaves, and pads!
To the right is a loaded Living Room where we have 18 feet of tables loaded with Roseville, Fenton, Vaseline glass, Royal Copely, Carnival glass, Mt. Washington glass, paper weights, Nippon, Noritake, Capidomonte, Souvenir Flash glass, to name a few. You will also find books on the history of the local counties in the area along with local author James Curwood signed and unsigned books. Various Art adorns the walls throughout the home. This room also boasts the most beautiful jewelry table display EVER, with a bit of sterling a bit of 14K, Trifari ( 1 jelly belly), more bling than I’ve seen in a long time! There is an awesome fireplace screen four vintage wood chairs, a built in stereo, a corner Mid-Century modern corner table, vintage lamps, antique suitcases, a vintage lighted picture with sound and more, and one WWII cast bronze grave marker.
As you enter the hallway to the bedrooms don’t forget to look at all the goodies on the walls. The Bedroom to the left has a full bed, and Child’s/Doll size Steamer Trunk loaded with doll clothes, a little boy’s antique treasure chest filled with tokens and memories of childhood. A Black Rocking Horse sets near a full sized steamer chest filled with stuffed toys, and two Remington Electric typewriters, and various office supplies and stationary boxes and three frames from the display cabinets in the old Byron Agriculture High School. The closet has coats and a top shelf with Vintage Big and Little Ben alarm clocks, and other items.
The Middle Bedroom has a stunning Eastlake Style Desk and display cabinet, an Ironing Board with a Singer Featherweight with book, case and extras supplies. (In perfect working condition Antique German Casige #25 Red Riding Hood Pressed Steel Child's Sewing Machine) Big Event Newspapers, 75’s and Albums, Bisque, composite, and cloth dolls, and a huge assortment of Barbie’s in their boxes surround the perimeter of the walls. The desk is loaded with an Antique Pencil Sharpener, Red Riding Hood Childs Sewing Machine, Vintage Headphones and numerous other goodies.
The Third Bedroom is home to a tall four section Shaw Walker Barrister Cabinet loaded with Vintage and Modern Christmas Bulbs. The doilies, Table Runners, are on racks in the center of the room. The perimeter houses two Vintage Royal Typewriters, an adorable Ceramic Christmas Village, a table of Glassware including a gorgeous Art Deco Heisey set, Carnival Glass, and other lovely pieces. There is a Glider Rocker, a Drop Leaf Table, and a lovely Reverse Painted Lamp also. The closet completes this room with Vintage Hats, clothes, and shoes.
Going back through the dining room the other way is the Kitchen. There are a ton of vintage utensils, and regular, a Cutco knife set in the holder, a Cutco sharpener, and a Cutco serving set, In the cupboards is Hall Sillouette, vintage Pyrex, antique blue canning jars, a retro canister set, a large quantity of Fenton hobnail milk glass, vintage juice sets, a bun warmer, kitchen table and four chairs, and sets of china, two service for 12 Silver Plate flatware (one is 1906 Wm Rogers, and the other is 1847 Rogers Bros (1904).
Just before the back porch are the stairs going to the Basement. You will find some very unique items down there as well as shelving units, a few household products, there is an original desk out of the Byron Agriculture High School, a primitive medical crate, a cast iron kettle, a deacons bench, a five gallon crock, a black rotary telephone, a very few small hand tools, an oil bottle with the top, a project mid-century modern single drawer table with hair pin legs, a wooden utility table, some fishing items, and last but not least a number of what appears to me to be very vintage Winchester reloading tools, boxes, lead, and cartridges.
The screened in Porch houses all of the beautiful wicker furniture, from rockers to chaise lounges, tables, chairs, and stools. There are plenty of adorable garden ornaments and statuary , chimes, and a day bed to finish of that room.
The Garage has all kinds of goodies from tools to Holiday decoration and everything in between, including a 1940’s Shelby Flying Cloud ladies Bicycle. There are a few hand tools, a double seat swing with awning, boxes and tin can with great graphics like Remington, and SUM Shortening. We have Beanie Babies galore, toys, kids clothes #2 Western Crock, a couple of whitewashed Grave Stones, (one whole one partial), two Vintage Elgin trolling motors household item various dishes, hub caps, (one set off an old El Camino) and did I say TOYS!
Found late in the day 1 extra large striped Hudson Bay wool blanket ! Mint !
