Dr. Wilhelm and Dr. Mary Seeger were lifelong German Professors and Dean at Grand Valley State University since its early days as the college out in the middle of a cornfield.  Dr. Seeger’s family were also the owners of the Schintzelbank restaurant for its entire existence in Grand Rapids.  This traditional German home was originally built his Grandparents Gus and Martha Horn who started the restaurant and then retired to this picturesque location and the Seeger’s have lived here since the 1960’s. 

Mr and Mrs were both avid lifelong collectors or many different subjects in addition to anything German or Swedish as you will see in the pictures.  They also took sabbaticals and lived, studied, and taught in Germany.
