Our sale commences with a lovely antique Pairpoint Reverse Painted Puff Lamp Shade, C. 1907, and continues with a ship model of the 17th century British Royal Navy 100 gun ship-of-the-line HMS “Sovereign of the Seas”, c. 1950. Friday night also has a large collection of Chinese Decorative Objects which contains an impressive selection of ivory, including two complete chess sets, various figures and a carved flowering vase. The sale features a large selection of fine jewelry, over 20 lots, including a 14 kt white gold ring with enhancement diamonds and 9.50mm Tahitian Pearl and a pair of 14 kt white gold dangle earrings with 2.44 carats of diamonds. Friday night boasts over 60 lots of fine art including four Serigraphs by Peter Max (1937- ), an Agamograph titled “Fleur du Midi”, number 84/99, by Yaacov Agam (1928- ) as well as an impressive selection of oil paintings, both antique and contemporary. There are also over 40 lots of firearms and other weaponry, including a GMC Four Barrel Pepper Box Revolver, .36 Cal., a Luigi Franchi 12 Gauge Shotgun, a Mansfield & Lamb Civil War Sword, C. 1864, and two Japanese Carved Bone Daggers.

The Saturday auction opens with a unique scale model of the Fisher Body Coach. Rendered from circa 1940 plans, this symbol of one of Detroit’s first automobile manufacturers was proudly featured in a Saturday Evening Post ad twenty years later. Following is colorful art glass by Schneider and Steuben; bronze sculptures by Richard Guino and Danny Edwards; as well as French garnitures and a Rambaud bronze-mounted marble urn from the late 19th century. From private collections: Sevres cabinet plates; Georg Jensen ‘Acorn’, Wallace ‘Grand Baroque’, and National ‘Narcissus’ sterling flatware sets; porcelain dinner services by Rosenthal and Herend; Henredon and Baker mahogany furniture; fine jewelry by David Yurman, Lagos, and SeidenGang; and a variety of oriental rugs from semi antique to modern. Also featuring The Dr. Ferdinand Mauser Collection of Asian Art Objects, 14th-19th century; and property from the estate of a fashionable West Bloomfield collector including Chanel couture and jewelry, Hermes silk scarves, Prada, Gucci and Fendi bags, Judith Leiber accessories, mink furs, Louis Vuitton luggage, a Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller lounge chair with ottoman and a Mario Bellini for Cassina leather cab chair.

An extensive fine art collection of over 250 lots showcases the Sunday session. An abridged list of the many artists includes: William Skilling; Isaac Rader, Emile Albert Gruppe, Charles D. Hannan, Walter Emerson Baum, Gerome Kamrowski, Douglas Arthur Teed, Arturo Corsa, Wm. H. H. Trood, J. LePage, Sir William Beechey, Allesandro Sani, Sigmund Joseph Menkes, Francisco Zuniga, Marc Chagall, Rufino Tamayo, Jacob Lawrence, Louise Nevelson, Roy Lichtenstein and Charles Petit. Of special interest is a 1554 copy of “L’Arte del Navegar” by Pedro de Medina, Tiffany & Co. sterling centerpiece bowl, Reed & Barton “Hanover” sterling tray, Herend “Aponyi” dinnerware, Kerman and Isfahan carpets, Meissen antique figure of a woman, marble & dore bronze fireplace mantle, Regency breakfront, c. 1820 and over 70 pieces of fine jewelry featuring a Cartier 18kt gold and diamond lady’s wrist watch.
