Friday evening’s sale offers oil paintings by Ernest Samson, Arthur William Best, Louis Jacquet, Stallaert, and Miriam Briks; carved marble and bronze sculptures; a circa 1900 carved wood cigar store Indian maiden; an oak blanket chest by Ernest Eymonaud; Chinese ivory carved figures and a covered urn; Gordie Howe, Wayne Gretzky, Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions autographed sports memorabilia; French curio cabinets and early 20th century slag glass table lamps and hanging fixtures. Additional items of note include a Gretsch 1967 guitar; firearms; antique cash registers; Lionel trains and other toys; historical documents; fine jewelry, including rings, necklaces and earrings, and collectible currency, from local collectors.

The Saturday auction presents beautiful decorative arts and furnishings from the Sikorski Estate, Bloomfield Hills, including bronze sculptures and candlesticks, Chinese and Japanese ivory and coral carvings, netsuke and okimono, Peking glass, snuff bottles, and lacquer ware, Lalique perfume bottles and table ware. From the Estate of John Hermann, Grand Blanc, Michigan carved marble sculptures, French crystal and bronze fixtures and furniture, a Tiffany Studios ‘American Indian’ inkwell, and mid-20th century furniture by Baker. And from private collectors, a 19th century German silver covered presentation cup; Meissen and Carl Thieme porcelain covered urns; Baccarat table lamps and a floor lamp; a Russian silver and enamel cigarette case, kovsh, and other objet de vertu; a collection of circa 1900 Mettlach steins and a charger; Rookwood and Pewabic pottery; Pre-Columbian vessels and figures, over 30 lots; as well as Judith Leiber minaudiere and a variety of fine jewelry, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Fine arts from the Estate of John Hermann, Grand Blanc, Michigan featuring: paintings by Basile de Loose, Henry Martin, Robert Hamilton, R. Gilbert, J. Francis Murphy, W. Steve Seltzer plus bronze sculptures by Eugene Marioton, Auguste Moreau, Felix Maurice Charpentier and bronzes after Raphael and Clodion to name but a few. From the Sikorski Estate, Bloomfield Hills: a nice collection of paintings, sculptures and graphics including graphics by Thomas Hart Benton, French 19th c. and Cesare Lapini marble busts, an oil painting by Thure Nikolaus Cederstrom and over 20 additional selections. Additional old master to contemporary fine arts in the session include works by: Chuang Che, Pierre Bittar, Peter Etril Snyder, Thomas Moran, Elizabeth Fisher Washington, Douglas Arthur Teed, John Gable, Leonardo Nierman, Marshall M.
