Friday features include fine oil paintings featuring an oil on canvas by Arthur William Best (American 1859-1935), watercolors by H.C. Fox (British 1855-1929) to name a few. Native American, Pre-Columbian and African items including, woven baskets, pottery, sculpture and masks. A fine assortment of hand woven Persian wool rugs and carpets. Architectural features including carved marble fireplaces and carved wood Islamic archways. Firearms including a WWII Era German Luger and a Winchester Model 94, 30-30 cal. carbine, c1966. Fine estate jewelry including a beautiful 4.48 ct light yellow marquis diamond and sapphire ring, a 5.50 ct cluster diamond earrings and necklace suite. Antique furniture including an English rustic oak hunter’s table, c19 th c and a fine French gilt bronze and marble clock garniture set.

The Saturday auction presents beautiful and unique decorative arts and jewelry from multiple private collections and estates. The sale opens with a Sorel Etrog bronze sculpture; signed and numbered 3/7, the abstract figure stands at an impressive 26” tall. Continuing with a collection of contemporary glass and ceramics from the Estate of Ruth E. Rich, Bloomfield, featuring works by Richard Marquis, Brent Kee, Jay Musler, John Littleton & Kate Vogel, Stephen Hodder, Curtiss Brock, Colin Reid, and others—over 40 lots. Additional items of note include a Mt. Washington Royal Flemish covered vase; a Gorham sterling loving cup dated 1906; Venetian carved and polychrome Blackamoors; Young Chang mahogany piano; Lalique, Baccarat, and Steuben crystal tableware and decorative ware; Chinese scrolls; Swarovski crystal miniatures; and a collection of art deco English and European enameled silver and cut glass dresser jars. Over 100 lots of fine and antique jewelry including a Buccellati 18kt yellow gold thistle brooch, Henry Dunay bracelet, Etruscan and Egyptian Revival gold necklaces, bracelets and brooches, a 2.97 emerald cut diamond ring with GIA certification, Tiffany gold and sterling, and antique gold pocket watches. Austrian illuminated document pertaining to Ferdinand I, dated 1561, and a collection of correspondence hand written by President Ulysses S. Grant; and a variety of oriental rugs from semi antique to modern.

Sunday session features a modern and contemporary art collection from Bloomfield Hills, MI with graphics, paintings and sculptures by Joan Miro, DAZE, Yvaral, Dino Rossini, Paul Jenkins, Richard Lindner, Leonardo Nierman, Salvador Dali, Victor Vasarely, Edward Avedisian, Jules Olitski, Futura 2000, Crash, Takeo Kimura, Romero Britto, Rochelle W. Stefanovic and Yaacov Agam. Additional modern and contemporary artists in the sale from other consignors include: Mark Di Suvero, Chuang Che, Samuel A. Cashwan, Isaac Maimon, Don Snyder, Tom Bennett, Larry Rivers, Erte, Steve Streadbeck, John Pappas and Mark Chagall.
