DuMouchelle’s auction previews are conducted at the gallery for one full week prior to each sale from 9:30am-5:30pm. There is also a late evening preview on Wednesday, May 14th until 8:30 p.m. Please consult with our website at www.auctiondetroit.com for additional photographs and detailed information on each of the 1,500 lots scheduled for each of our monthly auctions. Condition Reports are available to those who cannot view items in person. If a Condition Report cannot be located on our website, then you are welcome to call or e-mail us with a request for additional information. DuMouchelle’s auction requires no entry fee and free valet parking is available to those attending. Doors open at 5:30 pm on Friday, 10am on Saturday and at 11am on Sunday. Paddle bidding at the auction allows for the most flexibility. But if you’re unable to attend, then phone and absentee bidding services are available - as well as internet bidding via www.liveauctioneers.com or www.the-saleroom.com. DuMouchelles accepts wire transfers, checks, cash, Mastercard, Visa and Discover card (upon approval). A buyer’s premium of 20% is added to each lot purchased (23% when bidding via internet on Live Auctioneers or The-Saleroom). Please note also that All Sales Are Final. So do take time for previewing or obtaining a condition report. If you have a sales tax exemption certificate, please provide it ahead of time. Friday features include fine jewelry: a 3.01 princess cut diamond ring with GIA certificate, a 1.30 ct fancy brown diamond and ruby ring, over 30 lots. Also a vintage turn of the century Durant-Dort Carriage Company “Blue Ribbon” Carriage, c1900. Lighting features including a fine Handel table lamp and a Frankart No. L-246 Art Deco table lamp. Bronze sculptures including an after Remington “Bronco buster”. Sterling silver including a Juvento Lopez Reyes footed tray, Frank Whiting compote, two fine Tiffany Sterling silver pieces, a hinged box and footed dish. A firearms collection from a local estate including a Colt Sporter Model 223, Sturm Ruger ‘Mini 14’. Pistols and revolvers consisting of: Smith & Wesson, model 29-2 .44 Magnum revolver, several Walther PPK’s, Belgian Browning Model 1935; 9mm, Colt ‘Custom Combat’ .45 pistol and many more. Porcelain pieces including a beautiful Royal Vienna porcelain tray, c1900, a Minton porcelain wall plaque, c1884 date mark. The Saturday auction presents, from multiple private collections and estates, lovely French art nouveau cameo glass by Galle, De Vez, Richard and Moda, a Rene Lalique ‘Mures’ vase, a 19th century peachblow lemonade set; Meissen ‘Green Dragon’ and Herend ‘Rothschild Bird’ dinner sets; and Chinese Export porcelain. Continuing with 18th-20th century sterling, including George III teapots, a Reed & Barton ‘Hampton Court’ sterling tea & coffee set, Birks, Gorham, Reed & Barton and Wallace flatware sets, and other table ware by Tiffany & Co., Tuttle, Woodside, and others. Antique American and English furniture, such as a Kentucky cherry corner cupboard and a cherry tall chest, a mahogany sideboard, a walnut chest of drawers and slant-front desk, Federal and Sheraton dining chairs; a vintage carousel horse; Regina double-comb and Swiss cylinder music boxes. A painting collection from a Bloomfield Hills, MI collector with many of the paintings formerly sold by Newhouse Galleries, New York, NY. A partial list of the artists includes: Carl Friedrich Reichert, Edwin Wensley Russell, Jan Frederik Pieter Portielje, John Califano, Carl Wilhelm Hubner, Charles Louis Baugniet & David de Notre, Heva Coomans, George Henry Hall, Henri Chanet, Alfred Guillou, Otto Meyer, John George Brown, William Morgan and Henri Jacques Bource.
