1951 "Keweenaw Central" Copper Boiler Steam Locomotive.
With Tender - Flat Car - Auto Transport Car - Passenger Car - Dining Car -
Caboose and Snow Plow Railroad Car. (Approx 26 ft. Long)
3/4" Scale - 75 Year Old One Of a Kind Hand Fabricated Piece Of Running Art And History.
3/4-inch to one foot scale (a ratio of roughly 1:16) for standard- 3 1/2 gauge live steam models.
Starting work with a handmade drill press, blueprints, catalogs and pictures, Harold F. Moss began assembling a three-quarter-scale of steam locomotive of the Hudson type on New Years Day 1951. After 10 Years of devoted work, he had a copper boiler engine, two boxcars, gondola, passenger car, oar car, wrecker, snowplow and caboose.
The Model As It Stands Today Was Recently Removed On 8/22/2026 From The Iron Horse Pub, Durand MI. It Was Purchased From Mr. Moss In 1977 To Display And Share With The General Public, Assuring Him Safekeeping Of His Treasured Work...
