Fabulous Two Sister’s Estate Sale on the Thornapple River

July 18th 19th & 20th

If you love Victorian, This is the sale for you!!!

Antiques & Collectables: As you walk into the entry way there is a drop dead gorgeous Victorian Parlor cabinet on one wall, a demilune sideboard (C: 1890’s) with painting and inlay & on the other wall is a beautiful Howard Miller Curio Grandfather’s clock . In the kitchen there is a unique custom made cabinet with gorgeous hand crafted stained glass doors. In the hallway there is a Mid-Century Danish Modern demilune hall table. Next you will find yourself in the sunken living room with a HUGE custom made Retro sectional sofa, vintage area rugs, and a 1950’s upholstered chair with a Victorian cast metal fringed stool. There are vintage plant stands throughout the house. The game room is right next to the living room and has a 1917 Brunswick-Balk-Collender Monarch Cushion 9’ Convertible pool table with all of its original equipment including balls, sticks, brush, chalk, triangle, tally & pocket ball set, the three ball set, the conversion cushions for three ball, and more! (It is in excellent condition!!) There is an antique sideboard and two really neat antique chairs in that room also. In the dining room is one of the most beautiful dining room suits I’ve ever seen. It is an early 1900’s Berkey & Gay; (One of the older Grand Rapids Furniture companies) with a carved table that seats 10 & 10 chairs, a buffet, a sideboard and a china cabinet. The carving on this set is phenomenal!! There is a pair of vintage fox hunting pictures in this room as well (ad many other vintage pictures throughout the house). In one of the bedrooms there is a nice Mid-Century Danish modern wardrobe, and a pair of vintage Klingman's tufted leather chairs and an ottoman. That bedroom leads out into the side porch where you will find an ornate wicker high back chair (looks Haywood Wakefield, but have not checked it yet) and another pair of green vintage wicker chairs, a couple of nice wicker plant stands and a beautiful hand painted antique Minnesota treadle sewing machine! The master bedroom has another painted demilune table with a great mirror, a really cool (petite) salesman sample chair and victorian fringed metal footstool, there are a few vintage tin toys, ladies hats, a man’s top hat and black cane, carved signed wood ducks, and so many more small items. Downstairs there is a wonderful antique dresser hand-painted with a pastoral scene, an antique drop leaf stand, a pari of mid-century end tables, a wonderful antique wicker bakers rack, a great antique metal (recently professionally painted PINK) patio furniture set with plant stands. There is a Martha Washington sewing stand, and a pair of vintage brass lamps with metal shades. Outside is a large Antique Rebbecca at the well fountain, three vintage cement lions, four vintage cement cherub statues on cement pedestals and a couple cement benches and other small cement statues.

China & Glassware: There is a Homar Laughlin Tom & Jerry Punch bowl with glasses, some Fenton milk glass hats, a few pieces of Depression glass, (one of those a pale yellow bowl is beautiful), some McCoy Pottery, a few vintage china vanity pieces, and more we haven’t uncovered yet.

Linens: There are two linen racks full of vintage hand-crocheted items, and a couple pieces that have tatted edges.

Household: This home was decorated beautifully, and many of the home décor items are available at our sale. Things like vases, baskets, silk flower arrangements, greenery, accent pieces, live plants (large ones), lots of VHS, Christmas décor, sewing notions, cuts of fabric, clothing, hand tools, white corner cupboard, metal bakers rack, a rotisserie, glass covered cake servers, and other cake plates, silver-plate serving pieces, swivel stools, upholstered stools, brushed aluminum stools, lamps, numerous interesting pictures and more we haven’t gotten too yet!
