Iconic Moving Sale - Susan Hartz

I have been given the great privilege of conducting my mentor and dear friend Susan Hartz’s moving sale. 

I started my estate sale career in the mid-90s working for Susan Hartz who started the estate sale business in Grosse Pointe. She taught me so much about business and practices I still use to this day. When I went on my own, at her urging, she gave me sales and was always there for guidance. When I opened my auction house, she was one of my greatest supporters — coming to every auction and catering it to boot! She is one of my favorite people. 

This sale spans three centuries of furniture and decorative items. We are featuring Victorian chests and cabinets, red chinoiserie breakfront, pine breakfront, round dining table with leaves, burgundy leather armchair, pair of Baker upholstered side chairs, Victorian needlepoint parlor chair, pair of French style open-arm chairs, cast iron hall tree, floral upholstered settee, and more. 

Decorative items include collection of cranberry glass, 19th and 20th century glass, Lenox “Greek Key” china, collection of 19th century silver plate, cups and saucers, beautiful mirrors, assorted lamps, antique rugs and carpets, books, collection of Staffordshire dogs and figurines, large collection of small decorative items including glass, ceramic, and porcelain items, framed art and prints, small collection of enamel metal baskets, tools, bed linens, everyday kitchen, large collection of ladies’ clothing and accessories.
