Description & Details

Eclectic Attic is proud to present the estate sale of Marjorie Hecht Simon. Trained at the Art Institute of Chicago (1937 - 1941) she was a practicing artist with a focus on watercolors. Throughout her professional career she was represented by Rubiner Gallery, and exhibited at Flint Art Museum and other local galleries. She was a member of Detroit Institute of Arts Founders Society and long time donor to the Museum and other arts organizations. Mrs. Hecht Simon was active in the Detroit Symphony and Chamber Music Society circles. A resident of Huntington Woods since 1961, she was a member of the Huntington Woods Study Club and Bridge Club. 

Though an artist in her own right, she was passionate about collecting fine art by other artists and American antiques.
