JIM QUINLAN’S CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE MOVING SALE IN NORTHVILLE: One of the Founding fathers of the Meadow Brook CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE in 1979, Jim Quinlan is a well known classic car enthusiast, classic car paint colorist, auto designer and watercolorist who has decided to move to a warmer clime. His wonderful collection of original art, posters, photographs, books, sculptures, souvenirs and memorabilia of his years in the auto world are to be sold on Friday July 10th and Saturday, July 11 from 10 to 5.
Highlights include:
- Original CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE posters from 1979 forward. Many are matted and framed under glass. Plus many classic car prints, photographs and posters.
- DOM PERETTI, classic car art prints.
- Trophies from an original DON SOMMER bronze eagle sculpture dated 1985, to LALIQUE, bronzes, plaques and more.
- ROMANOS RIZK acrylic on canvas, “Tao” series.
- W. LOUIS JONES acrylic work on canvas, part of his “Pedestal” series of a radish.
- Art Deco style bronzes.
- Bronzes of lions.
