Pickup for Shipping to be arranged by "Your" Shipper, Braun and Helmer Auction Service can arrange shipping for you and can arrange for a Shipper to contact you. All Shipping must be paid directly to the Shipper you choose. All Auction Items must be paid for separately from the Shipping Cost. These cannot be combined.


Note: To satisfy the Estate Executor, a some items have a reasonable reserve on them.

**Very important: With exception of previous arrangements with Braun and Helmer Auction Service, you MUST pick up your items on the specified date(s). If your items are not picked up within 10 days Braun and Helmer Auction Service reserves the right to forfeit your items. Auction Ending: Beginning at the stated closing time, the auction software will conclude competitive bidding in catalog order. The Online Auction will start & run at the same time as the "Live" Auction. The top bidder will be announced live & indicated on the HiBid Platform with indications of whether a Floor bidder or Online Bidder is Successful. There is No extended online bidding at the event. Debt Collection and Interest Charges: The buyer agrees to pay all reasonable attorney fees and other costs incurred by Braun and Helmer Auction Service in its efforts to collect unpaid funds from the buyer. Lot 1  C/1880's Engraving of Standing President Lincoln, 14" x 22" in a C/1860 Mahogany O-Gee frame, 21" x 29".  Condition: No damage found.  Lot 2   C/1870 Gilt oval Mirror, wood plank backed, raised floral decorations, 25" x 29" overall.  Condition:  Original mirror has some minor streaks, some small touch-ups to the gilt, edges have minor wear.  Lot 3   Early 19th C Miniature Watercolor, portrait on bone with bone overlaid frame.  Portrait measures 3 1/4" dia. in a 4 3/4" sq. frame.  Condition:  No damage to the portrait, frame has inlaid bone sections that are slightly curling in a few spots.   Lot 3A   1851 Lg. Engraving of Queen Victoria & Prince Albert opening the "Great Exhibition" in 1851. 29" x 24"h. (sight) in a Victorian Walnut frame 40" X 34"h.    Condition: Engraving is moderately toned overall (printed on light buff paper to start), Print is mounted on linen, Small area of damage at top center from sharp hanging nail, frame needs cleaning.Lot 4   Pair of C/1860's French Gilt Bronze Candelabra, 4 socket each, Gothic style decoration on tri-feet.  17 1/4" h. x 8" dia.  Condition:  A few dark spots on the gilt, minor candle wax remnants on the arms, all candle cups are present.    Lot 5   Dated 1919 Color Mezzotint "The Synnot Children" after an oil by Henry Macbeth-Raeburn (Scottish 1860-1947) published by Arthur Greatorex, Nov. 1919.  16" x 21"h. (sight) in a gilt frame 23" x 28" h.  The original oil of the Synnot Children was painted by Joseph Wright of Derby (UK 1734-1797).  The artist Henry Macbeth-Raeburn reproduced it in a smaller format to be replicated in Mezzotint in 1919.  Condition:  Light toning overall, no o other damage found. Lot 6   C/1880 Ladies petite Vanity Oil Lamp, Victorian scroll decoration with red overlay on white glass with fancy iron base, 19" h. x 6" dia.  Condition:  Minor wear overall from use, no other damage found.  Lot 7   C/1880 Ladies French Cologne Bottle, satin peach w/fitted stopper.  Hand blown, gilt trim, numbered underneath w/early label   remnants. 9 1/2" h. x 3 11/4" dia.  Condition:  Minor wear to the gilt trim, small scuffs and wear underneath.  Lot 8   C/1880 Lg. Hand painted Metal Victorian Serving Tray, 29" x 23" x 1", center reserve area painting shows 2 wealthy Ladies giving a Beggar a coin with additional floral and gilt scroll decoration.  Condition:  Various small areas of in-painting primarily in the background and tray edges.Lot 9   C/1890 Rare signed RS Prussia 6 piece Berry Set, Water Lily postcard decorations on all 6 pieces, red mark underneath all pcs.  Large bowl measures 11" dia. x 3" h., small bowls measure 5 1/2" x 1 1/2" h.  Condition: No damage on large bowl; 2 very small chips on 1 small bowl (underneath the edge) and the same small bowl has a miss-printed mark, minor wear to the gilt decoration. Lot 10   C/1840 Handmade Chestnut Sewing Box with inlaid "A - W" on lid, fitted interior w/thread spools and pin cushion, 11 1/2" x 9" x 6" h.  Condition:  Small edge chips, small piece missing from front bottom corner, a few shrinkage fractures, original key, works.    Lot 11   C/1890 Victorian GWTW Oil Lamp, converted, original hand painted rose decorated ball shade, polished spelter and brass base w/cherub. (Figure has an open basket for burnt matches). 30 1/2" h. x 10" dia.  Condition:  Re-polished nicely, no damage found.  Lot 11A   1855 Lg. Engraving "Mount Vernon in the Olden Times" (Washington at 30 years of age), Image also has Martha, Children and 2 Black Slaves after a hunt. 24" X 19"h. (sight) in a gilt frame 33" X 27" h.  Print was drawn by A. Hennig, Engraved by HB Hall and published by WH Holbrooke.    Condition: Print has light toning overall and a restored vertical tear up the middle about 1/3 way.  Lot 12   Early 20th C. French glass and bronze Mantle Urn, lavender w/gilt decorations, all bronze top ring, handles and base w/ball feet.  13 1/2" h. x 7 1/2" dia.  Condition:  Minor wear to the gilt decorations.Lot 13   C/1880 Victorian Oak China/Server, includes both applied and incised carving, heavy brass hardware, brass galley rail on top, 3-shelf china section, velvet lined flatware drawer, 2-door open base for serving pcs with inner shelf. 67" h. x 48" w. x 20" deep.  Condition:  Minor scratches and wear to original finish.    Lot 14   C/1890 Victorian Gas Lamp w/Vaseline grape pattern shade, converted to electric, 17 1/2" h., shade has 3 original vent holes for heat.  Condition:  No damage found. Lot 15   Dated 1889 Walnut and Brass "Saturn" stereo viewer by James M. Davis, NY. Adjustable height.  The porcelain base is stamped J.R. Palmenberg's Sons NY, 23" h. (highest adjusted size) with 4 1/2" dia. glazed pottery base, includes a 1890 tinted stereo view.  Condition: Moderate edge wear around the eye piece, brass shaft is tarnished, 1 card holder pin is incomplete.Lot 16   C/1880 German Walnut Jewel Box. Leaf and flower carved exterior, padded silk lined interior, 6 3/4" x 4 1/2" x 3 3/4", lockable (no key).  Condition:  Varnish is dark on lid, minor wear on corners and petals on lid, no other damage found.  Lot 17   C/1880 German Black Forest carved Mantle Clock, 8 day time and strike, circular brass French movement stamped "Marti", engraved bronze faceplate w/overlaid white brass chapter ring.  27 1/2" h. x 17" w. x 8 1/2" deep.  Condition:  Minor wear overall, 1 leaf tip re-glued, movement not evaluated but key and pendulum are present. Lot 18   C/1870's Walnut Victorian carved Bed Crest with hanging fruit and scrolls, 19" x 15" x 4".  Condition:  Refinished and wired to hang. Lot 18A   C/1900 Collotype print of a European homestead on a pond with figures, 19" X 13" h. (sight) in a Gilt Victorian frame, 31" X 26"h.      Condition: Some fine foxing spots in the sky area, frame has some wear and some retouched areas.      Lot 19   C/1880 Oil on canvas of Victorian Lady with Hat and Walking Stick, signed B. Muhler (German late 19th C.) in lower right, 10 1/2" x 21" h. in a Victorian gilt frame, 17" x 27 1/2" h.  Condition:  Painting has moderate craquelure overall, background is dark, the back shows a small patch on the side with corresponding small area of in-painting to the left of the figures collar.  Frame has been repainted.Lot 20   C/1890 Gilt Bronze Sculpture of a Harness Race Horse w/Sulky & Jockey mounted on a velvet wrapped wood base set into a Louis 16th style gilt brass frame, 9"h x 14" x 7", very detailed.  Condition:  Small area of corrosion on the sulky seat support, dark patina, small areas of wear from cleaning, velvet possibly replaced.   Lot 21   C/1900 Pair of Lg. Restored Ornate Interior Corbels 14" x 8" x 8 1/2" (each).  Condition:  A few nail holes from use, repainted.    Lot 22   C/1880 Ruby Glass Oil Lamp w/black glass base, hand painted floral decorations, 20" h.  Condition:  No damage found.    Lot 23   6C/1910 Handmade Brass and Wood Italian Puppet of a Roman Soldier (figure is 24" tall) holding a sword and shield w/armor, includes heavy guide wires for control.  Condition:  Brass is turning dark, minor wear. Lot 24   C/1880 Rare Victorian Etched Glass Hanging Lamp, converted to electric, 6 sided w/3 pairs of etched colored panels including cobalt, ruby and amber.  Also includes 30 hanging amber cut glass pendants, 40" h. x 10" dia.  Condition: 1 Amber panel has 3 vertical fractures (taped up), all brass frame has original finish with no damage.   Lot 25   C/1880 Original Oil on Canvas of a Western Steer, unsigned, 16 1/2" x 12" h. in a Victorian deep gilt frame 23" x 17 1/2" h.  Condition:  Repaired tear above steers head w/patch on back, very small tear on left side w/patch on back, frame has minor touch-ups. Lot 26   C/1890 Victorian Hanging Stained Glass Hall Lamp, includes over 90 colored, beveled jewels, 24" h. x 9" dia.  Condition:  No damage found, rewired.   Lot 27   C/1920 Signed Nippon Vase, hand painted floral and gilt decorations with 2 handles.  7 3/4" h. x 6 1/4" widest point.  Condition:  Minor wear to the gilt on the handle, no damage found.  Lot 28   Mid 19th C. Wool Needlepoint of Old Testament Prophet preparing a sacrifice, 20" x 24" in a Mid 20th C. carved and gilt wood frame, 27" x 30 1/2" h.  Condition:  Slight toning overall w/slight staining on right side near edge, plus a few tiny moth bites.  Lot 29   C/1890 French Louis 15th Gilt and Bronze Inkwell w/inset red glass section, 9 1/2" x 7" x 3" h.  Condition:  Minor wear to the gilt, no damage found. Lot 30   C/1900 Opalescent Hanging Lamp w/replaced electrical including new ceiling cap, 30" h. x 7 1/2" dia. New hanging cloth covered suspension cord is fully adjustable.  Condition: No damage found. Lot 31   Dated 1982 Hand leaded stained glass window, Setting Sun over a Pond w/Lily pads and Cat tails, "K.R. Kidd 3/82" etched into the glass, 24" x 20 1/2" h. in a heavy oak milled frame 28 1/2 x 25" h., includes brass hanging chain.  Condition:  No damage found. Lot 32   1880 Bronze Church Alter Top Candelabra. 4 Light, includes 4 early electrical sockets with glass covers, 4 silk shade covers & flame shaped bulbs. Candelabra measures 16"h. X 15" w. X 7"d. without electric candle sockets.    Condition: Some moderate wear from use, replaced candle sockets, needs wiring.Lot 33   C/1890 Amber Glass Finger Oil Lamp, cross hatch in panel pattern, 11 1/2" h.  Condition:  Heavy wear underneath.Lot 33A   C/1980s Regency style hanging chandelier, 5 arm/lights, Brass arms, 24" dia. X 28"h. (not including chain).   Condition: No damage to lamp, silk shades have light scuffs.   Lot 34   C/1910 "Macey" Stacking Oak Bookcase, 6 sections plus top and bottom (8 pcs. total), 88" h. x 12 1/2" d. x 34" w. Condition:  No damage found to bowl or syrup, napkin ring is worn and tarnished.  Lot 38A   1980 Lg. Litho of early 19th C. Sisters portrait. Unsigned, 20" X 26" h. Back Stamped "Made exclusively for JC Penny"   Condition: Minor frame wear, no other damage    Lot 39   C/1915 Wooden Upright Piano Bank, slotted back, working cover over keys, 9" x 4 1/2" x 8" h., sliding wood piece at back base to release coins inside.  Condition:  Moderate wear, keys are worn.  These banks were issued by Piano Stores to save up enough quarters to make a down payment for a piano.   Lot 40   C/1915 Unique Ladies Vanity Lamp, glass beaded shade with brass leaf decoration, 13" h. Condition:  Minor wear to base, no damage found.   Lot 40A   Mid 19th C. Lithograph of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert exiting a boat at a castle. Hand tinted, 16" X 11 1/2" h. (sight) in a 70s wood frame. 26" X 22"h.     Condition: Print is slightly wavy at the top edge.
