We are honored to have been asked to help rehome elements from the historic Central Grade School before work begins on remodeling this, the oldest school in TCAPS. While many of the iconic architectural elements including bricks WILL be incorporated into the build-out of the new school, we are working hard to carefully remove very old doors, chalkboards, built-in wood cabinets, bleacher seats, vintage sinks, lockers and more. We’re gathering the old desks, chairs, coat hooks, pencil sharpeners, random artwork, signs, hardware, sporting equipment, old clocks and more. Stay tuned as we have so much work to do to get everything ready. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the TCAPS Student Support Network. Snag a piece of Traverse City history, save important stuff from landfills and help students in our community!
