Art by Joe Lubbock, a Royal engineer, born 1915 and lived to 103, from Chelsea.  Joes is the only artist who has had an exhibition of their art shown at the Victoria and Albert museium.  Lubbock produced his prints on a hand press in his studio, using his engineering skills to design new methods of copperplate printing.  His work drew on the beauty of the Suffolk landscape and his travels to remote parts of the world, including the Himalayas, Galapagos and Antarctica. The prints featured at this sale were collected into books and bound in leather.
