* MASKS ARE REQUIRED INDOORS for EVERYONE (yes, kids too) whether you are vaccinated or not.
* Stay home if you feel unwell or if you have had contact with someone with, or suspected of having, COVID-19!
* Please use our complimentary hand sanitizer.
* There is no washroom available to the public.
* BRING YOUR OWN BAGS.
In compliance with the new city of Duluth bag ordinance (10/2021), we no longer supply bags at checkout or for our bag sales.
* While you are still shopping place the items you plan to purchase on our HOLDING TABLE. Write your name on a Post-It Note & attach.
* Unattended children will receive a Red Bull & a free puppy!
* Only service animals allowed on the premises!
* DO NOT bring your coffee, Coke, water bottle or any other beverage or food into this sale!
* Ask any EOV staff for price/discount information.

* We accept cash & major credit cards with a 3.5% convenience fee.

Jim and Libby Prest are selling their iconic stone mini mansion and we’re selling all the treasures on three floors, as well as the wrap around porch, carport and grounds. Libby's style and design flair is evident in everything from the purple velvet davenport to her 1950’s knit tennis dress! And Jim’s custom-built private library shows off his love of history, law and rare books.
Some highlights of the sale include…
OUTSIDE AND CARPORT
Vintage cross-country skis and boots, ice skates, Weber grill, coolers, green canvas folding cots, vintage lawn chairs, wood benches, fire ladder, tennis and badminton rackets, Rainfair Wilderness Gear rain suit, yard tools, wheelbarrow and a Jackson #12 lawn roller 240 pounds!
LOWER LEVEL
The finished basement boasts the fanciest walnut burl bed you’ll ever see! It is ca. 1880 but it includes a modern, custom-made box spring and mattress from Happy Sleeper. The matching marble top, fancy dresser to this piece is on the second floor. We love the rare, Civil War era, old growth mahogany dining table with its 3-board top! We’re also selling an antique 4 poster bed and a hard-to-find Wilcox & Gibbs treadle sewing machine in oak case – it has feet shaped iron pedals! You’ll find player piano rolls and collectibles of all kinds, as well rare books, maps, mining documents and other ephemera! Look for the canvas military bags, a Duluth Pack and a fabulous, quality, antique wicker porch settee with custom upholstery!
MAIN FLOOR
You’ll find Antique furniture, wing back chairs, lamps, statues, wood carvings, quality vintage china, glassware and cut glass, art pottery, many sterling pieces, candelabra, figurines, jade trees and a Duncan Phyfe dining table and chairs. We’re selling some great 70’s and 80’s rock and roll vinyl, quality kitchenware including quality cutlery, cookware, dinnerware, copper ware, serving pieces, a good Kitchenaid stand mixer and other small appliances. As always, we have assembled an interesting collection of smalls and vintage jewelry for sale near the check-out area.
SECOND FLOOR
BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS! Check out Jim’s private library and impressive collection of presidential history, mining history, legal history and local, county and state of Minnesota history! We love the super selection of vintage children’s’ books including Dr. Seuss!
Libby is a long time interiors designer and fashion style setter, too, and we have devoted one entire room to show off her 1940’s to 1990’s classy apparel, hats, shoes, muffs and accessories, including sportswear, dresses, dressing gowns, tennis togs and outerwear! Really lovely, quality pieces!
Other interesting treasures include a mission oak desk, an ornate drop front desk, 1800’s era single drawer nightstands, ornate mirrors, antique beds and tables, fine art, vintage metal toy trucks and vintage luggage.
Art is displayed throughout the home and includes rare, antique Japanese original watercolors that Jim collected over the years, as well as modern print art.
