The Unusual Estate of Musician Carl Berglund

Carl Berglund was a member of the Minnesota orchestra for 35 years and played the oboe with the Minneapolis Symphony.

He passed away in 1998. Although his fine oboe collection is no longer available, his household estate has remained, and is now being offered. Three generations passed through this estate, all leaving their mark. Here you will find a large variety of unexpected items; a haven for the true collector.

Cello - Repaired in 1946 by Carl Munson in Monmouth, IL

Steinway upright grand piano. This piano was made in 1901 and owned by Professor Donald Nivison Ferguson, the Music Director at the University of Minnesota. Shortly before he retired, he sold the piano to Carl Berglund in 1946, and it has remained in place in the Berglund home for the past 65 years. It still plays beautifully.
