This 1985 Thunderbird has been owned by one family, and was purchased new in 1985 in Antioch, CA. For the next 18 years, it was only driven 66,264 miles, until the owner's death. It was then passed down to his daughter, in 2003, who only put an additional 17,474 miles on the vehicle. It has never been smoked in, never driven in snow or on salted roads, and has always been garaged. Copy of the Carfax report and recorded maintenance items available. Beautifully colored, authentic silk, Japanese kimono with sash. This is another kimono, that according to the estate owner, was brought to the U.S. in 1953 by a WWII bride from Japan. See Lots 17 and 51B for additional kimonos that were brought over by the same owner.

Vintage, authentic, silk, Shiro-Maku and Uchikake Bridal Wedding Kimono Set with Male Kimono. Includes two (2) bridal kimonos (Shiro-Maku and Uchikake) and one (1) male kimono. According to the estate owner, these kimonos were brought over to the U.S. in 1953 by a WWII bride from Japan. The wedding kimono for the bride actually consists of two different kimonos. The traditional white Japanese wedding kimono is called Shiro-Maku. Shiro meaning white and Maku meaning pure. The white wedding kimono is worn for the wedding ceremony and then the elaborate, rich patterned silk brocade kimono called Uchikake is worn over the white kimono at the wedding reception. The kimono is made of silk and beautiful silk brocade. The kimono is rich in fine embroidered patterns and scenes of flowers and nature motifs embellish the kimono in rich color. This third kimono is a male kimono and is traditionally worn by men as daily wear clothing and generally are conservative in color.

RARE, vintage Spyglass Walking Stick/Captain's Cane by Van Cort Instrument Makers. This 34 1/4-inch tapered, rosewood laminated, birch walking stick has brass fittings and conceals a 5 1/2-inch, single-draw, tapered spyglass. Super cool and very RARE! The eyepiece is marked Van Cort Instrument Makers, USA. Van Cort specialized in building high-quality new, and restoring vintage, telescopes, kaleidoscopes, and other optical and scientific instruments. Total length of of the spyglass itself is 12"L.
