Japanese Meiji-era (1868-1912) 58" monumental cloisonné urn and 72x96 twentieth century Chinese export six-panel Coromandel gilt screen. The urn depicts birds within a plum tree in full bloom on a midnight blue background.  The screen shows cranes and riverside landscape on a gilt background. The top of the cabinet offers a place for larger pieces, while a single, wide drawer (looks like three) and cabinet space with a shelf provide great storage. The dentil moulding and scalloped trim are characteristic of 1960s Early American styling. This well-proportioned, usable and attractive hutch is in very good vintage condition.
