The Imperial Glass Company has a rich history of making timeless glassware but the creation of Candlewick changed everything. Candlewick answered the need for more elegant glassware after the interest in depression glass lessened. 

Inspired by French Cannonball pieces that used heavy glass ‘balls’ around its base, Imperial created more delicate pieces, and Candlewick was formally introduced at the Wheeling Centennial Celebration in August of 1936 and it became one of its strongest selling patterns. Today Candlewick is treasured by collectors across the globe.
