Chrisalin Sales
Description & Details
This sale has a incredible collection of Oceanic art from Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. It is original, authentic art and spiritual artifacts used by the native peoples as part of their ancestor worship. The homeowner's brother spent his life living in Papua New Guinea. His huge collection had been shipped to the United States before he passed away last year. Our client is a fine artist. A number of his oil paintings and other artwork will also be available for sale. Other art and artifacts include carefully chosen items from around the world. There is also a large collection of quality, nearly-new well-kept tools (Festool, Bosch, Makita, Milwaukee, Porter-Cable, Honda etc.) that will be sold as part of this sale.
About Our Client
This is an extraordinary sale for an extraordinary artist and musician. Our client has worked with Leonard Bernstein, Kurt Masur, Seiji Ozawa and others, conducted in Germany and France, studied with Shinichi Suzuki in Japan. He is a recognized and outstanding classical musician.
As you can see from the photos, our client is also an excellent artist. He was one of the last to have studied with Prix de Rome abstract painter Arthur Osver and classical realist painter Richard Lack here in the USA. In addition to his musical and artistic work, he has studied architecture at Harvard Graduate School of Design and Washington University. Work has included many independent studies, travels and adventures worldwide.
You will seldom see this kind of artistic talent and combination of uniquely acquired items in any estate or moving sale.
