1 - RARE Bert Lahr Cowardly Lion Signed WWII Contract This a contract signed by Bert Lahr, who played Zeke The Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz. The contract is for a radio program called Highland Playhouse and was to get paid $1250 after the broadcast. The broadcast was also made for the Military and even had specifications to be able to record the program for the Army, Navy, Marines & Coast Guard during WW2. Document is also signed by Edward F. Gardnor 

1a - Remarkable High-End 14k Diamond Bridal Set This is a VERY HIGH-END 3-ring diamond wedding set! There are [33] natural, bright and clear diamonds. The consignor did not have an exact measurement but we estimate between 2-3 carats total of round cut diamonds. The consignor believes that all of the diamonds are SI1, however, we are not 100% certain on exact clarity. If the diamond rings added last minute do not hit reserve then we will take them to a jeweler for an actual estimate and auction within the next couple weeks, but they will most likely go a lot higher. 1b - RARE 1982 Prototype Vanity Fair W/ Cover A prototype issue for the re-launch of Vanity Fair Magazine. The first issue of the new Vanity Fair was in February of 1983, so in 1982 a prototype issue was created to sell the magazine to advertisers. From the Richard Avendon shot Baryshnikov cover, down to the Helmut Newtown photo and David Hockney pool painting, they did not hold back on the talent with this issue. The ads and photos are real, but it has dummy text printed over and over. This very rare magazine is in very good condition Includes caricatures of Burt Reynolds, Nick Nolte, Sylvester Stallone and Treat Williams by Bill Plympton, a photo of Gerard Depardieu by Annie Leibovitz, another photo of Baryshnikov by Avedon, Mick Jagger by Annie Leibovitz, Jeremy Irons, etc. 

2 - RARE 19thC Vom Cleff & Co. Racing Knife/Tool This is a mid to late 19th century, early example of Vom Cleff & Co. Germany marked folding Race knife, manufactured by hand with steel blade and brass handle. Marked on the bottom of the blade, all original and in excellent working condition. A Race knife also known as a timber scribe (scorer, tree marker) is a knife with a U-shaped end sometimes called a scoop knife for cutting marks in wood by lumbermen, carpenters, coopers, surveyors, and others. The reasons for making marks varies and includes keeping count (tally marks), identifying parts (carpenter's marks), numbering, and tracing patterns around a template as a part of marking out. The gouges left by the timber scribe are more durable than pencil or chalk marks. 

3 - RARE 19thC Carved Bloodstone Gold Fob This is a rare and stunning Victorian era gold fob is very petite in size, and displays a decorative hand-carved design; ca. 1800's. At the base of the fob is a bloodstone seal, which is deep forest green in color with dark redish-orange flecks. Carved into the surface of the seal is a Roman/Spartan soldier motif. At the top of the fob's handle is a suspension bale, perfect for hanging the piece from a chain or charm bracelet. Most parts test as solid (12k or higher) gold with portions that test as heavy gold filled. INFO: A fob is an adornment or a seal that hangs from the ribbon or chain of a pocket watch. Its purpose is to decorate or add weight to the watch chain itself, making it easier for the watch to be withdrawn from a pocket. The opposite of a cameo, an intaglio is created by carving into the surface of a stone to produce an image in relief, with the purpose of pressing into sealing wax, often used in signet rings and fobs. 

3a - 18kt W.G & Platinum Diamond Art Deco Ring An exceptional Art Deco 18k white gold and platinum setting ring with [3] large natural round diamonds. Circa 1920's-30's. Size: 4- 3/4. 4 - 18thC Brass Adjustable Rush Light Candle Stand A VERY RARE, genuine early 18th to early 19th century solid brass standing floor Rush Light Candle stand with adjustable socketed counterweight and single hook; arched peg footed tripod base. In exceptional condition. Origin is most likely from France. 

5 - 1904 StL World's Fair Black Americana Souvenir Original 1904 St. Louis World's Fair Black Americana Souvenir Plaque, Illustrated By G.H. Allen. EXTREMELY SCARCE, very few exist today. 

5a - Antique Large 14kt European Cut Diamond Ring Large antique diamond 14k yellow gold wedding ring with platinum top setting and five diamonds total, the center setting is a large stone. All are natural round cut, bright and clear diamonds. Size 8. 6 - Hand Carved Ivory Owl Trinket Box A small, early 20th century hand carved, etched and colored genuine ivory trinket box with floral motif and highly intricate detail. Hand stamped filigree engraved bronze hinge and trim. The figurative owl is connected by a doll rod and can be taken off easily. In excellent condition. 

7 - Abraham Lincoln Funerary Belt Buckle The front of the belt buckle features an image of President Abraham Lincoln encircled by a wreath which is surrounded by cannons, flags, rifles, and an eagle in flight at the top. Below the images are the words "In Memory of Our Dear President." The reverse of the buckle features several statements near the center: "The Official Funeral Plate No. _______" and "Issued to All United States Congressmen, Washington, D. C." and "Made from Captured Heavy Confederate Guns." Below and curved in a slight arc are "Designed by William R. Leigh" and "Made by W. H. Horstmann." 

7a - Exceptional Victorian 14kt Gold & Diamond Ring Victorian 14k Gold Large Diamond Solitaire Ring. A large beautifully faceted natural round diamond solitaire in the center with openwork filligree around the mounting. Late 19th century. Weighs just under 2 grams and is a size 5- 3/4. Weight: 1.9 Grams Size: 6 

8 - WWII Ship H.M.S. APOLLO Nautical Brass Bell Stand HMS Apollo was an Abdiel-class minelayer of the Royal Navy, the eighth RN ship to carry the name. She served with the Home Fleet during World War II, taking part in the Normandy Landings before being transferred to the British Pacific Fleet. Put into reserve in 1946, she was re commissioned in 1951, serving until 1961, and was sold for scrapping in 1962. We can not be certain, but this nautical maritime signal ship bell is most likely from this ship.

9 - RARE 18thC Oil Portrait On Ivory & Ivory Frame An EXTREMELY RARE & MUSEUM WORTHY Antique French hand-painted oil portrait on convex carved ivory shell backing, signed by artist, set in a genuine ivory inlaid frame. The portrait was of a young noble woman, possibly of Royalty. From the 1700's or 1800's. Missing one small portion of ivory slab. The back is covered in a sewn antique textile. 

10 - RARE 18/19thC Georgian Burl Wood Snuff Box Antique 18th century burr burl wooden hinged snuff / tobacco box with inlaid mother of pearl. The hinged area shows some damage but is complete. 

11 - 18thC Silver Mounted Burl Wood Snuff Box An EXCEPTIONAL handcrafted pure silver filigree mounted hinged lidded burl wood box from the 18th to 19th century. CONDITION: Shows some wear from the years but is still sturdy and complete. 

12 - Carved Wooden & Bone Chinese Snuff Bottle A large figurative carved wooden snuff bottle with Chinese landscape scene, matching wooden dome lid with attached carved bone spoon. Very unique!

Has original Chinese paper label, late 19th to early 20th century. The box has shifted from age and weather and the lid doesn't quite fit the box. A larger box with a geometric hand cut slabs perfectly placed with a figural bunny rabbit on the top of the lid. The smaller box easily fits inside and is very unique as it also has Angel Skin Coral and dark green jade in the figural floral motif. Both have fitted lids and are in pristine condition.

This was made from an advertising company that had four to five different styles made for Anheuser to pick from for marketing. This is one of the styles that was not picked. Never used, excellent vintage condition. This was owned by a long time Anheuser Busch employee that worked for the marketing department. Check out the next couple lots for more Anheuser items.

These were made for the student's parents and were dated in 1933. Machinery Repairman School in San Diego, Calif. Bottoms are marked/numbered 16/250. Another example from the 1950's sold for over $350.00. There is also a pair listed on Charish.com from 1954, on sale for $155.00 that were orginially $395.00.

56a - RARE 1942 World Series Press Photo & Letter An original and genuine Associated Press Photo and original typed letter of St. Louis Cardinal, Ernie White's incredible six-hit shutout on the New York Yankees on Game 3 of the 1942 World Series. This was a remarkable day that made baseball history and brought disbelief to fans at Yankee Stadium on Oct. 3rd, 1942. This photo and letter is a scarce sports collectible from one of the most collected series of the St. Louis Cardinals. Make all of your friends jealous while in your mancave of collections as you'll most likely be the only one with this one. In well preserved condition, the letter is somewhat brittle and has a clean rip down the center which can be put together and hardly noticeable in a frame.

Had Billy Ripken not elected to mark that bat in a unique way that year... Had the photographer, taking the picture for his Fleer baseball card, not asked him to pose for a shot in between batting practice with that bat... Had the folks at Fleer caught what was written on the bat... it's extremely unlikely that we'd be talking about the 20th anniversary of any moment in the baseball career of Billy Ripken. After all, the son of Cal Sr., once his manager, and the brother of Cal Jr., his teammate, was known more for his glove in a 12-year Major League Baseball career than for his bat. His batting average was .247 and he knocked in a total of 220 RBI. But in January of 1989, Billy Ripken, scheduled to be a five cent common in the 1989 Fleer set, ignited the hobby already entering its prime with the debut of the very first Upper Deck set. Packs of Fleer hit hobby stores right after New Year's and, within two weeks, everyone had to have their hands on card No. 616, Billy Ripken.
