Mileage is provided for informational purposes only and is not guaranteed to be accurate; actual mileage may be unknown.

BUYERS PREMIUM: A 10% buyer's premium will be added to each purchase. If you bid $100.00 at check out you will be charged $110.00.

PAYMENT: Accepted forms of payment include cash, cashier's check, money order, or wire transfer. Vehicle assets must be paid using cash, certified check, or wire transfer (Credit Cards are not an acceptable payment method for vehicles). Payment must be made prior to picking any items up.

EXTEND ALL CLOSING: This auction uses Extend-All Bidding! If there are ANY bids on ANY item within 5 minutes of the auction closing, ALL items will extend and the clock will reset to 5 minutes until ALL bidding has stopped. This means that all items will continue to stay open even if there hasn't been a bid within the last 5 minutes. This gives bidders who have been outbid an opportunity to bid on other items before they close. **If the auction is extended past 7:45 pm, then extension times will decrease to 4 minutes. If the auction is extended past 8:15 pm, then extension times will decrease to 3 minutes.

We utilize scheduled load-out by appointment. We will send out an email to all winning bidders with a link to sign up for an appointment after the auction.

LOAD OUT: LOCAL PICKUP ONLY Winning Bidders may pick their items up by appointment only the week following the auction, starting on Monday, March 30th. We will work with your transport company to arrange pick up during business hours of Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Any items left after the specified load-out date will be considered forfeited. We will not be offering any additional load-out dates or times. It will be the buyer's responsibility to dismantle & disconnect any and all equipment. Please bring your own packing materials, labor, tools & moving equipment.

CAUTION: For demonstration purposes, various equipment may be joined. Do not assume a lot consists of more than one item simply because they are connected or pictured together. Please inspect the lot numbers and read the descriptions.

CATALOG DISCREPANCIES: You are bidding on the described item, not the photograph, occasionally the wrong photo may be displayed, always read the item description.

CHOOSE WISELY: We want everyone to get a good deal and most will. However, when you bid on the wrong item or decide an item is not suited for your intended use, our clients are not willing to assume the cost of your mistakes. 📅 1. What is this auction and when does it take place?

The JB Hodgdon Classic Car Auction is an online-only auction featuring more than 80 vintage automobiles from the estate of John Brewster “JB” Hodgdon. It ends March 24, 2026 at 7:07 PM CST.

🖥️ 2. How can I participate in the auction?

To bid, you must register online through the auction platform. Once registered and approved, you can place bids any time before the lot closes.

📍 3. Where are the vehicles located?

The cars are housed in Belton, MO 64012 and Shawnee, KS 66227. Preview times are scheduled at those locations prior to the auction.

👀 4. Can I inspect the cars in person?

Yes — there is an in-person preview scheduled Saturday, March 21st from 10 AM to 5 PM. This gives you a chance to view the cars before bidding.

📦 5. How do I pick up my vehicles if I win?

Winning bidders must pick up vehicles locally by appointment the week after the auction (beginning March 30th). Appointments will be scheduled by the auction team.

💰 6. What fees apply to winning bids?

A 10% buyer’s premium is added to the hammer price of each purchase. For example, a winning bid of $100 will result in a $110 charge.

⚠️ 8. Are the cars guaranteed or warrantied?

No — all items are sold “AS IS, WHERE IS” with no warranty expressed or implied. Condition statements and mileage are offered as opinion only and are not guaranteed.

⏱️ 9. What is Extend-All bidding?

This auction uses an Extend-All closing format:

If a bid is placed within the final 5 minutes of any lot closing, bidding is extended and resets to a 5-minute countdown until no new bids are received.

💬 10. What happens if there’s an error or technical issue?

The auctioneer may extend or resume bidding in the event of software/server issues. Neither the software provider nor Mayo Auction & Realty is responsible for missed bids due to technology problems.
