To Bid: You will need to register through our software to participate in our online estate auctions. We will get contact and payment information from you at the time that you register.
Timed Bidding: Lots will begin closing at the advertised closing date & time and will close 30 seconds apart. If a new bid comes in during the last 30 seconds before a lot closes, an additional 1 minute will be added.
Buyer’s Premium: A buyer’s premium is an additional charge to the winning bidder. It is a percentage of their bid and is added to the winning bid amount. The buyer’s premium is 15% of the final hammer price.
Condition: All items are sold as-is. Please carefully review the pictures and condition report before bidding on a lot. We are unable to offer refunds for condition issues if the issue was disclosed in the pictures and/or condition report.
Payment: If you are a winning bidder, you will receive an invoice the morning after the auction and your credit card on file will be auto-charged (there is no additional fee for credit card payments). We do not accept cash or checks for payment.
Pickup: Item pickup date & time is advertised on each online estate auction. Winning bidders will receive the full address on their invoice as well as a link to sign up for a pickup time slot. Items not picked up during the advertised pickup window will be considered abandoned and will be donated without a refund. Brown Button does not provide any shipping services for online estate auctions.

ESTATE AUCTION SALE // This Chesterfield online estate sale features a well-rounded mix of antique furniture, vintage décor, artwork, sterling, glassware, and outdoor items from a high-end condo. Highlights include a late 1800s cylinder roll-top secretary bookcase desk, Eastlake marble-top dresser, early 20th-century glass-front kitchen storage cabinet with swinging shelves, Victorian-style parlor hanging lamp, and an antique apothecary balance scale in a wooden case. Sterling includes 10 Mark J. Scearce Kentucky julep cups with presidential initials for dating.
BUYING PROCESS
Bidding opens Tuesday, March 3rd and runs through Saturday, March 7th. This is a timed auction. Items start closing on Saturday at 7pm, one every 30 seconds. If a bid comes in during those final 30 seconds, an extra minute is added to that item's time.
PICKUP INFO
Pickup for St. Louis bidders is Tuesday, March 10th.
Pickup for Kansas City bidders is Friday, March 13th. Specific times to be confirmed.
All winning bidders will need to sign up for a pickup time slot. The sign up link will be emailed to you.
Items not picked up will be donated to a good cause. We’re not able to issue refunds or make exceptions. Thanks for understanding.
Delivery is available for most local bidders, depending on your location. If you win, we’ll send you all the delivery details by email.
PAYMENT
There’s a 15% buyer’s premium on all items. So if you win something for $100, your total will come to $115.
Once the auction ends, we’ll email your invoice. To keep it easy, we’ll automatically charge the card you have on file – no cash, no checks, and no extra fees for using a credit card. Sales tax may be added based on the location of the sale.
