The late Betty & Art Robins were among the co-founders of the Columbia Art League in the late 1950’s. Their contributions to the art world were instrumental in the local community. CAL even has a gallery named after them. Many of their items were preserved by family and donated to various museums, the historical society & a few galleries. They amassed such a large collection that we can now offer what remains! And there is a LOT! We are honored to present this VERY unique collection of pottery, paintings, and other local artist pieces, as well as many international treasures spanning decades of worldwide travel. Some of the most decadent and exquisite items I’ve ever seen in one place! Lots of items only seen in a museum. THIS sale trumps all other sales!

Lots of Asian antiquities with an emphasis on India, Iran, China, Thailand and beyond. TWO carved Chinese beds. Chinese trunks. MASSIVE amounts of textiles and linens! Mexican folk art, painted wood and polychrome wall mirrors from Mexico and Iran. Religious items. Gorgeous hard to find Americana primitives, spool cabinets, curios, reverse paintings, willow baskets, samplers, quilts, a huge collection of antique pitters & grinders and more. An entire room of ARTwork, paintings, woodblock, rubbings, vintage posters, scrolls and incredible Mithila appliques, oil paintings, watercolors and lots more. SUE GERRARD pottery. There is so much we can't even list it all. This is one sale you do NOT want to pass up.

A couple of important things to note:

• The home is currently occupied by a family member. PLEASE do not poke around the property or disturb the occupant before or after the sale. NOTHING outside is for sale.

• Street parking is on a hill. Please don’t block the driveway.

• We have to limit the number of shoppers in the home. We won’t have a system; it’s first come, so just form a line. We will try to get everyone inside as quickly as we can.

• Most likely, we’ll have to limit the number of people in our artifact/jewelry room. The rooms upstairs are small, and it’s a very narrow hallway.

• No LARGE purses/backpacks allowed. Small crossbodies and wallets are ok, as well as EMPTY shopping bags or empty shopping totes. You will NOT BE ALLOWED INSIDE if you arrive at the door with a large purse or backpack. We have hand baskets for your convenience and hold tables.

• There are a lot of small stairs inside the home, so please watch your step. We are not responsible for accidents.

• We will have LOTS of supplies for you to wrap your purchases, a few large boxes and small shopping bags. A packing table will be set up for your convenience.

• Purchases will be checked at the door. You will be given a token to show the attendant that your purchase was paid for.

Due to the unique nature of this collection, we will NOT be utilizing our normal discount schedule. We will offer 25% off on Fri and 50% off on Sat. Only a couple of items will not be included in the discount but we will take offers.

* If you break it you buy it. Please handle items with care…some are VERY VERY old and brittle. Thank you. *
