ABOUT THE SELLERS:

Virginia and Harold Thieman set up their household in the 1940’s after their marriage. During their 50+ years of marriage they built the internationally known herd of Polled Shorthorn cattle called Thieman’s Polled Shorthorns with Harold’s father, Lewis and son, Jim. During that time, Harold’s reputation as a very wise and knowledgeable cattleman and businessman afforded them extensive travel around the world and many interesting guests to their home.

Harold and Virginia traveled the globe, going on a 4-month long excursion when Harold was invited to judge livestock in the prestigious Royal Easter Show held in Sydney, Australia. Their trip included stops in Hawaii, before it became a state, Europe, and Asia in addition to travels around Australia. They collected artwork and clothing among other souvenirs in their global travels and from their visitors from around the globe.
