Eureka’s Lavender Farm to Permanently Close after this Weekend
The barn doors and farmhouse at Eureka’s beloved Lavender Farm will reopen to the public one final time this weekend, selling all the incredible treasures inside.
The Lavender Farm of Eureka is one of the best-kept, secret oasis in St. Louis County. After fifteen years as an intimate, small-scale lavender farm and event venue, the family-owned business is forever latching the barn doors. This weekend marks the final farewell. The farm will reopen its doors one last time to the public selling all its incredible treasures while giving visitors the chance visit to the countryside, all within St. Louis County.
For 50 years, the scenic 17-acre farm has been privately owned by one family. In 2002, owner Deborah Nathe and her late husband turned the property into the first commercial lavender farm in Missouri. The barn quickly became a venue for gourmet culinary events, weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers and intimate retreats. The historic farmhouse was transformed into a boutique storefront offering handmade, lavender products for the body and home.
Perhaps the most unique feature of this property is its location. Over the years, the Lavender Farm property remained privately owned. The surrounding land was developed by the luxury “Legends” planned community. The farm retreat is perched right in the middle of it all!
For the lucky few who knew of the Lavender Farm, and those that have yet to visit, all will have one last chance to walk the gravel roads, enjoy the barn and make a memory of this incredible place.
