Estate Sales by Steve & Sheri

This is a very unusual sale...The city of Glendale purchased 2 houses next door to their City Hall. The houses are being torn down to make way for a new Fire House. One of the houses has some great old stuff in it, the other is mostly empty..BUT..there are great and usable items in both houses before they're demolished. IT'S OK TO PARK AT CITY HALL AND IF NECESSARY, THE OUTER SPACES OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT NEXT DOOR.

Please check out the photos..keep in mind that we had little time to set anything up and almost nothing is priced. We'll do that as we go along. Come prepared to dig..the upstairs and basement are pretty messy (the basement is filthy) and could yield some interesting things. A flashlight isn't a bad idea. Some items are:

Vintage paper items incl.St. Louis Browns scorecards, calendars, photos, prints, etc.
Several pieces of misc. furniture..mostly great for painting or restoring
Vintage roller skates, typewriter, suitcases, tons of books, and much more.

Also..there are fantastic old doors with glass door knobs including a set of french doors
There is a 1 year old hot water heater
1-year old furnace
Paving and stepping stones on both properties, as well as landscaping bricks
Kitchen cabinets and bath fixtures in the 2nd house
Beautiful built-ins that can be removed
Fireplace mantle that can be removed
Stained glass windows (1 has a few cracks )
Newer vinyl windows ..NOTE..it's necessary to keep the house secured, so any windows that are purchased need to be boarded up with plywood when removed
Almost anything you can think of can be sold out of these houses..YOU REMOVE..arrangements can be made for pick up on a day not too far away

This should be fun..please check out the photos. WE WILL USE THE BACK DOOR FOR ENTRY AND WILL PUT #s ON THE BACK PORCH ABOUT 11:30 AM THURS.

****IMPORTANT**** The stairs going up to the attic in the 1st house are VERY FUNKY. THEY'RE STEEP AND ANGLED, We will have a sign up as a reminder, but it's necessary that only ONE person use them at a time...HOLD ON TO THE RAILING..and go slow. WE DON'T WANT ANY ACCIDENTS!!!
