This auction features popular jewelry of the 1960’s-1980’s.  1960’s style jewelry reflects the “diversity” of this decade.  The social climate was all over the place.  Lifestyle, clothing, handcrafted jewelry was made popular as “Hippie” and Mod” jewelry and clothing depicting this eclectic era of novelty jewelry.  The 70’s jewelry metamorphosis into a more flamboyant disco decade taking cues from styles of dress…bell bottoms, platform shoes, gold and silver glitter, chains of all sizes and branded jewelry.  The 80’s brought back the costume jewelry with lots of beads, sequins , enameling and rhinestones called ornament jewelry or Art Deco.
