Description & Details

September – Can you believe it!? I’m still trying to cope with 2008!

Here’s our latest Estate sale announcement, an estate sale that we’ve been hinting at for some time now. It’s loaded with antiques, collections, and memorabilia in addition to regular furnishings and everyday stuff. We will begin with a Friday/Saturday sale this weekend, and will limit it to antiques, collections, etc, excluding furniture. Next weekend, we’ll regroup with the Furniture and everyday things, as well as with remaining items from this weekend (if you don’t clean us out this weekend)  This really is a sizable volume of very nice stuff. More info is below.

As always, we really appreciate your interest – it’s fun to see familiar faces at each sale..  There are some really interesting and neat things on the horizon.  Here is what’s coming up this weekend!…

porcelain figurines:  some pieces are as limited as one of 500 production. We have birds, Royal Doulton figurines, Dresden ballerinas, as well as Sabino, Burgues, and more. There are A. Santini, Occupied Japan, jade, soapstone, and faux jade figures.

We have a large group of ceramic florals: Aynsley, Crown, Radnor and other floral pieces – with one large and ornate Nippon floral!

Prussia, Belleek,, and a number of other marks.  There are a number of very nice hand painted antique China plates and other pieces, and a number of  collectible plates, including multiple examples of  Bing & Grondhal, ANRI, Wedgewood (a very rare black Wedgewood by Charles Banks Wilson), Hummel, Davis, and Perillo.   There is a Large – make that huge -  antique doll collection: porcelain, bisque, cloth, and compositions dolls of all sizes, in period dress. There is a large group of kewpies, from large dolls to small ceramics to carnival prizes. We have antique baby dolls, both life size and small. There are shelves of  half-dolls. Can you visualize this display?!

We have  Piano babies. We have Wicker doll furniture, Doll high chairs, a Coca-Cola crate doll wagon made like a buckboard…  it just doesn’t quit!

Antique costume jewelry.  A number of very nice pieces, from necklaces and bracelets to pins and earrings. Some are beadwork. We have an 1896 Bryan & Sewell Bug political pin. There are hatpins, souvenir pins, but no  tenpins … although we do have a bunch of bowling themed pins!

We have Vintage sheet music, all genres.  There are a very large number of Antique postcards, a set of stereopticon slides and sots of  Area memorabilia.  Add in a collection of LP boxed sets & albums, still waiting to be sorted as  I write.

You’ll find Old books and periodicals. In another room are Fine vintage quilts, some excellent vintage clothing including several furs, & millinery. Lots of millinery.

There’s just too much to list. You must see it!  It’s better than going to a museum, because you can take this stuff home!

Note: Next weekend we’ll sell the furnishings, the everyday household and other more “usual” stuff, as well as continue with any remaining items from this weekend. We’ll have a number of fine antique and contemporary furnishings (you’ll see some of them – we had to use them for display this week.) Two weekends, two “different” sales, same address  If you live to be 93, maybe – just maybe – you’ll have this much stuff!
