This is the third and final sale for our client. It has been a pleasure and honor to assist this family in the liquidation of their extra items.  In this sale you will find furniture, art, and accessories. The couple traveled the world constantly and purchased a great deal. The lady of the household traveled to the orient and Hong Kong frequently so you will find these articles through out the sale. She also had an extensive box collection buying a box wherever she traveled. He was very supportive of the arts and so you will find a HUGE art collection in the sale. The family purchased most of their art through the Morgan Gallery but there are local artist represented from Hallmark  and the Art Institute along with art he purchased around the world. The family owned 18 Benton lithographs and one Benton oil! Sadly for us and this sale the children kept this collection but there is plenty of other wonderful art pieces to choose from!!  He will look forward to seeing you at this wonderful sale!

The China is Lowest Dear by Booths of London. Booths makes the similar pattern titled Blue Willow which was used in the White House early on and in the home of Thomas Jefferson  Wallace sterling, the pattern is Romance of the Sea. Twelve six piece place settings plus serving pieces for a total of eighty pieces. Good early and very heavy pattern.Antique Chinese silk and wool carpet.
The best!The den is filled with treasures from the ladies many trips to Asia. In the foreground we can see a Saarinen tulip table for Knoll filled with books on Bridge!Shelves yet to be filled with 100 silver frames, some of them sterling. In the front is a pair of Dakota Jackson  chairs and a rare bronze pair of Platner tables for Knoll.A pair of Platner tables for Knoll sit on an antique African zebra rug.
