WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22, and THURSDAY, MARCH 23, 9 to 4 p.m., and FRIDAY, MARCH 24, 9 to 3 p.m., ONLY! ANOTHER GREAT SHAWNEE MISSION LA SERTOMA ESTATE SALE! Lovely house with lovely, clean things! NOTE: Please bring help to load heavy items, we're all really old and crippled and we can't help you with carrying things. We're not dead, just old. Items include:

FAMILY ROOM/DINING ROOM: (straight ahead as you enter front door) Lane cedar chest in the hall.  Nice antique wood-trimmed sofa, chair, new sewing machine, Dolls (including Princess Diana bride doll and...a nun doll? And no, she's not the Singing Nun or the Flying Nun, or the Singing Flying Nun, either.) Lamps, pictures, chair(s). Lovely table full of cut glass, including pitchers, bowls and a HUGE lovely American Brilliant cut-glass punchbowl that in my cats' opinion would make a wonderful napping place in the middle of the dining room table; very nice crystal glassware; dishes; linens, including nice Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt; nice silver-plated serving pieces; dining room chandelier; and to your right is

KITCHEN/BREAKFAST NOOK: Useful kitchen items, dishes, including white English stoneware and if I could think of the name I'd put it here; Pub-height table and 4 chairs, you know, the kind you slipped off of on St. Patrick's Day; lots of lighted Christmas houses, the ceramic kind with little lights in them, churches, stores and houses, really cute; then straight ahead is the

LAUNDRY ROOM: Washer and electric dryer, they look brand-new but then everything in this house looks brand-new, it's so clean; Refrigerator for sale in there but I understand the freezer doesn't work so I guess it's all refrigerator?

GARAGE: Yard tools, sofa, chairs, rug, and I know there's a vacuum cleaner out there because I took a picture of one of our ladies vacuuming the rug in the garage, can you beat that? and now you'll have to work back to the

FORMAL LIVING ROOM, which would be to your immediate right as you enter the house or to your left as you leave the garage. Nice sofa and loveseat, lamps, and quite a collection of neat old cameras with original storage cases; several old bibles, including a beautifully-gilded one; lots of really interesting books, history and fiction; sit-around things; side tables, lamps, vintage child's wooden puzzles, some Disney;

BASEMENT, to the left as you enter the front door. Down at the bottom of the steps there's a big collection of train miniatures and metal toys; railroad lanterns, railroad-themed prints; Very nice bookcase, mid-century modern with sliding doors and there's one just like it on the 3rd floor, worth looking at;) table; and then continue on to the other basement room, where you'll find Christmas items, picnic items, some tools and things, holiday stuff; old typewriter, movie camera; some vintage clothing, including wedding gown, and some men's clothing; records, and then go to the

Can't wait to see you at our sale. Setup was 3115.

OTHER BASEMENT ROOM, straight ahead as you come down the steps. Ping-pong table that's absolutely full of old newspapers, old football and baseball programs, I think, college programs from Notre Dame, lots of Truman and JFK assassination memorabilia, bronze bust, magazines, books; lots and lots of really fun toddler toys; huge drafting table, the kind that tilts, and crafts, etc.; small potter's wheel, you know, the kind from the movie "Ghost." Now excuse me while I hum that song for a while. Be sure to check out the

THIRD FLOOR, steps are to your left as you come in the front door. Frankly, there's not much up here, but you can see a very nice carved-wood settee; Bed, side table, linens, lamps; bookcase with sliding doors that matches the one down in the basement. Some ladies' hats.

AND OF COURSE remember that SHAWNEE MISSION LA SERTOMA is an ALL-VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION with ALL OF OUR EARNINGS going to Christmas Bureau and to nurse scholarships at Johnson County Community College--last month we met the EIGHT scholarship winners from the last giving year and we are really proud of ourselves. Come shop with us and help us top last year's giving!
