The credit card associated with your account will be automatically charged for the full price of your purchases plus the buyer’s premium (typically 10%).
• Default: If you fail to pay for any item you have won for any reason, your account will be declared in default (see full terms for consequence of default).
• Picking Up Your Items: You are solely responsible for the safe and timely pick-up and removal of all items you win at this auction. Unless stated otherwise, the Auctioneer shall not hold items beyond the published removal times. The Auctioneer will not issue you a refund if you are unable to pick up and safely remove your items during the published removal times.
• Shipping and Handling is available. However, costs are not included in the final price. All parties are responsible for paying their own shipping costs once the amount has been determined based on the local USPS shipping rates. If an item does not fit in a USPS flat rate box, DO NOT BID ON IT. We will not ship it other than USPS Flat Rate. Your items will be charged to your credit card and an updated invoice with tracking number will be emailed to you.
• Abandonment: Any item that you do not pick up during the published removal times will be considered abandoned, and you will be charged a reasonable fee for the storage, removal, and/or disposal of the item.

Important Firearm & Ammunition Information

  1. All purchasers must be legally eligible to purchase, possess, receive and transport firearms or ammunition.
  2. Firearms transferred directly through Cates’ FFL require completion of all applicable transfer paperwork and a background check.
  3. A $15 transfer fee per firearm applies to firearms transferred directly through Cates’ FFL.
  4. Purchasers must generally be at least 18 to receive a rifle or shotgun from an FFL and at least 21 to receive a handgun, frame, receiver or firearm classified as “other.”
  5. Shipped firearms will be sent only to an eligible receiving FFL. The purchaser is responsible for arranging the receiving FFL and paying its transfer fees.
  6. Shipped firearms are subject to a $15 packaging fee per firearm plus the actual carrier shipping charges. The $15 Cates transfer fee does not apply to shipped firearms.
  7. Ammunition will not be shipped. All ammunition is pickup only.
  8. Firearms and ammunition are sold AS IS, WHERE IS. Firearms are not represented as safe to fire and should be inspected by a qualified gunsmith before use.
  9. Payment and all required transfer procedures must be completed before a firearm will be released or shipped.
  10. If a firearm cannot legally be transferred to the winning bidder, it will not be released. The bidder is responsible for resulting shipping, return and transfer costs, and any refund will be reduced by those costs.
  11. Pickup is by scheduled appointment. Property may be considered abandoned if the purchaser has not picked it up or contacted Cates within 48 hours after the scheduled pickup date.
  12. A 13% buyer’s premium will be added to each winning bid.

This auction features military and commercial firearms, bulk ammunition, magazines, bayonets, knives, reloading equipment and military field gear. Firearms represented include American, German, Chinese, Russian, French, British, Swiss, Swedish, Turkish, Italian, Yugoslavian and other military and commercial models.

Leading firearms include a Waffenfabrik Mauser C96 Carbine cataloged as a factory-original example, a Springfield M1 Garand with a January 1942 receiver, CZ 75 Compact 9mm Luger Pistol, Norinco MAK-90, Polytech M-14S, Izhmash Saiga-12, Gwinn Bushmaster pistol, Norinco NHM90, Romanian SAR-1, Soviet Tula SKS-45 and Chinese Type 56 SKS. Additional offerings include Inland GM M1 Carbines, Winchester Model 94AE lever-action rifles, Mausers, Mosin-Nagants, Lee-Enfields, French MAS rifles, shotguns, revolvers and semiautomatic pistols.

The ammunition portion includes substantial quantities of handgun, rifle and shotgun ammunition stored in military ammunition boxes. Larger offerings include approximately 10,000 total rounds of assorted .22 ammunition across two lots, approximately 2,940 rounds of 9mm Luger across two lots, approximately 1,050 rounds of .223, approximately 1,000 rounds of .380 Auto, approximately 800 rounds of 9mm Makarov and multiple lots of .30 Carbine, .30-06, .308/7.62, 7.62x39, 7.62x54R, .303 British, .38 Special, .40 S&W, .45 Auto, .45 Colt and shotgun shells.

Specialized ammunition includes .45 Winchester Magnum, .30-06 M2 armor-piercing ammunition loaded in M1 Garand en bloc clips, military-surplus cartridges, bandoliers and ammunition loaded on stripper clips. Ammunition quantities are approximate, and open boxes or loose ammunition may include reloads.

The auction also includes M1 Carbine, FN FAL, MAS, Saiga-style and other firearm magazines; U.S. and international bayonets; fixed-blade and folding knives; Hornady and RCBS reloading dies; RCBS, Lee and Frankford Arsenal reloading tools; smokeless powders; gun-cleaning supplies; air pistols; ammunition cans and wooden crates; inert training grenades; military bandoliers, chest rigs, pouches and holsters; and archery equipment.
