Weekly Thursday Evening Kansas City Estate and Consignment Auction

Some weeks tell one story. This week tells two.

The first is the finale of a remarkable camera collection. Over the past few weeks, Leica cameras and accessories, along with other quality camera equipment, have found new homes with photographers and collectors from around the country. This Thursday marks the final opportunity to bid on the last of them, closing out one of the most memorable consignments we've had in quite some time.

Of course, the Leicas are only the beginning. This week's auction also features sterling and turquoise jewelry, lots of militaria, an incredibly unique handmade lap-steel style guitar built from a shovel and an ironing board, a large framed, signed and numbered Imagine II surrealist print by Michael Cheval, quality furniture, mid-century modern pieces, lamps and lighting—including another hanging swag table lamp—vintage typewriters, old signs and advertising, knives and bayonets, sports memorabilia, stamps, uranium glass, art glass, vintage toys and games, including some fantastic pressed steel trucks, and so much more.

The second story is a bit of an experiment. Fair warning: you're going to see more household goods than usual over the next couple of auctions. We know. We see them too. We took a calculated gamble on three storage lockers because the furniture and overall quality looked right. The gamble paid off in a lot of ways... and also resulted in enough towels to outfit a small hotel. Such is life. Fortunately, there's also a lot of attractive décor, brand-new merchandise, and unexpected finds mixed throughout. We'll see how it goes, and we're looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks.
