A Blast to the Past in Warson Woods!!!!

Family Room: An antique 100-drawer cabinet. Drawers are numbered 101-200 (left to right). It measures 74" tall x 56" wide x 18" deep. All but a couple of drawers are original and of dovetail construction. Each drawer measures 8-1/2" wide x 13-l/2" deep. This is a very "statement" piece and could be used for apothecary purposes, hardware, crafts, herbs and teas, whatever many items you have to sort!

Family Room-SMALLS Area: Half of the very large family room was converted to the collectibles/smalls area. There are men's vintage hats; vintage books; an 1800's brass DUTCH fire tool set; Halloween masks and containers; Valentine's boxes; vintage greeting cards; vintage photos; board games; collectible "newer" games; vintage fishing rod and lures; jewelry and so much more! Closer photos are coming up!

Family Room-SMALLS Area: Just some of the many men's hats and more: majorette hat; straw hat; spats; vintage photos; white gloves; MOOLAH cap; fireman's hat; derby hats. Also shown on the right is a vintage mink collar with matching muff (SOLD AS A SET) as well as a vintage mink wrap (heads attached).

Family Room-SMALLS area: This riser displays: a vintage celluloid shaving mirror/stand/bowl/brush as well as other shaving related items; an emergency signaling mirror; a Western Electric telegraph/receiver; three vintage worn and weathered hand carved duck decoys (unsigned) with glass eyes. They have the perfect patina and make great conversation pieces or floating art sculptures. A BRIGHTON garter display case; a drafting set; and a tool and die set. Also shown is a light green glass head with molded flapper-style hair and a few vintage purses. Some close-up photos follow.

Family Room-SMALLS area: Closer photos of: the vintage ONE EMERGENCY SIGNALING MIRROR; a Victorian 1890's oak/glass store display for BRIGHTON men's garters measures 14 1/4" long, 6 1/4" deep, 14 1/4" high; a WESTERN ELECTRIC telegraph key and sounder receiver (used for Morse code); a vintage ACE tap & die set in its original box; and a vintage travel cup.

Family Room-SMALLS area: Displayed are a CIVIL WAR era beaded head covering; an oval SCHIAPARELLI hat box; another fur collar; three porcelain body dolls; one American Indian doll; a pair of Lucite heel shoes; an elegant fan; and several vintage purses, including one Lucite box purse. Family Room-SMALLS area: Closer photos of some of the items in the previous photo: The CIVIL WAR era head covering is on the wooden head. It is beaded and drapes over the head but has a place in the back for the hair (think about a "GONE WITH THE WIND" fashion of the 1860's); three porcelain body dolls: one is a pin cushion, one has a metal dress frame, and the one in the middle is a perfume stopper--you can see the long glass stopper resting on the wooden block if you look closely.

Family Room-SMALLS area: Vintage paper mache Halloween containers; vintage books ("The Lost Princess of Oz"-1st edition/1st printing; "This Year's Book for Tiny Tots;" "The Lady and the Panda" signed/1st edition [1938]; "Voices of the Stones" signed/1st edition [1925]; "The Jolly Chinee & Other Stories"); Star Wars Radio-Controlled R2 - D2 (1978) in original box; a vintage 1950's SMALL BEAR SCHOOL game; and a Donkey Kong Tabletop Arcade (1980's) with original book. Also shown are some Russian nesting boxes; a Russian music box; several unusual vintage cardboard and wooden Easter items (closer photo coming up); metal clipper ship bookends; a 1980 Pocket Simon game; a pair of bronzed baby shoes; clay and bakelite poker chips in a vintage wooden case; a wooden bowling pin game and more!

Family Room-SMALLS area: Here is a closer photo of the unusual vintage EASTER toys. Three are actual pull toys (the chicken with egg cart in lower right is not). These are unusual as one does not often find the vintage Easter in such great condition. These would be wonderful on the Easter table!

Family Room-SMALLS area: Two View Masters and slides flank a vintage stereoscope and slides. Also shown is a nice assortment of vintage horns and noisemakers.

Family Room-SMALLS area: Quite a selection of 1930-1940 board games (including American Derby-1945, Little Black Sambo-3 puzzles-1942; and Cabby!-1938) as well as boards to vintage games but no boxes or pieces--just fun things to hang on a wall. To the far right are a Fisher Price building set in canister and a Fisher Price circus wagon--both from the 1960's.

Family Room-SMALLS area: These items are actually displayed on the top of the glass case--we just moved them to photograph in better light: a porcelain DRESDEN piece (as is); a nude bronze; and a brass Chinese Dinner Bell (1920-1925) of Ch'ing Dynasty style which uses a small brass mallet instead of a clapper.

Family Room-SMALLS area: The second shelf of the glass case has a 1920's child's punch bowl set; wind-up toys; one small DRESDEN figurine; vintage doll furniture; and other items. The Little Eva and Topsy dolls have been moved to another case but a closer photo is coming up!

Family Room-SMALLS area: A closer photo of some of the vintage doll furniture and dolls previously mentioned: A "Federal" metal stove; four cast iron radiators; a metal cart with dishes; a REMINGTON typewriter pencil sharpener; a small brush metal sweeper; a ceramic fireplace; two RARE Nancy Ann Storybook dolls "Little Eva and Topsy" are bisque/jointed and in their original box. To the right is a SKOOKUM (Bully Good)-"The Great Indian character Doll" also in its original box.

Family Room-SMALLS area: The lower shelf of the glass case displays an assortment of vintage and sterling jewelry and carved items. A closer photo of some of the items follows.

Family Room-SMALLS area: Here are some of the items from the glass case: A watch fob; a photo of a man with the exact same photo in the button above; two Girl Scout pins and a Girl Scout knife; a Corps. of Engineers U.S. Army compass; a gold-tone pocket knife; another watch fob; and to the far right is a watch fob with matching cuff links--all have a theme of nuts/bolts--probably for a man associated with tools.

Family Room-SMALLS area: Just a few more vintage items from the glass case: two clear rhinestone fur clips; a colorful rhinestone Christmas tree pin; a green rhinestone pin/earring set; a large vintage rhinestone pin; and a gold mesh bracelet/belt set with green stones.

Family Room-SMALLS area: Vintage Halloween noise makers; a sample of some of the many cigar flag/tobacco rugs; and a vintage beaded purse. You can see that "Little Eva and Topsy" are now in this case. A closer photo of the cigar flags/tobacco rugs is coming up.

Family Room-SMALLS area: Here is just a sample of over 50 cigar flags/tobacco rugs (also called "blankets"). These items were never actually put in cigar boxes but were included as premiums in certain items purchased from 1910-1915. The first designs were of Indian blankets but then later included Oriental rugs, pennants, butterflies and baseball players. (There are NO baseball themes!) Women were encouraged to sew them together to create blankets or coverlets. Today, many people frame them in a collage or just leave them on a table as a conversation piece. We have them grouped into three separate price ranges.

Family Room-SMALLS Area: There is a box of many vintage black and white photos, and after much research I found these three to be very noteworthy. The top two photos show guests gathering at a monument in London. The monument is a replica of Abraham Lincoln: The Man, which was given (unveiled) to Britain in July, 1920. It commemorates 100 years of peace between Britain and the USA after the end of the War of 1812. Prime Minister David Lloyd George accepted the statue on behalf of the British people after a procession to parliament Square. It was unveiled by Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught. The bottom photo shows Charles Lindbergh walking in a procession (unknown if it is the same procession as above).

Family Room-SMALLS area: A few Chinese brass items -- some of which were brought over from China in the 1930's by the client's grandmother.

Family Room-SMALLS area: Two antique (1890's) Russian tapestry chalice altar cloths. Both measure 21" x 21" and are priced separately.

Family Room-SMALLS area: Bags of vintage greeting cards and a vintage fabric heart pin cushion.

Family Room-SMALLS area: At top is a vintage 1930's split cane fly rod with a holder where each rod part snugly fits (the original sock case is nearby). Also shown are various fishing lures (wooden) and metal spoon lures as well as a fish skinner, repair kit and various reels.

Family Room-SMALLS area: An antique (late 1800's) brass Dutch Wind Mill fire tool set with twisted shaft and stylized tripod base includes the poker, tongs, trivet, shovel and brush. The entire set measures 51" tall from base to the top of one of the sails or blades; the scene measures 16-l/2" across.

Family Room-SMALLS area: Vintage Christmas: (sorry but the client's daughter took all of the round glass ornaments after this photo was posted), novelty ornaments, a box of red vintage paper ball garland, as well as two newer CHRISTOPHER RADKO "flag" ornaments.

Family Room-SMALLS area: Two World War II American Red Cross nurse uniforms. Each has a dark blue veil. We hung one veil on the wall so you could see it better. Each uniform is priced separately.

Family Room-SMALLS area: To the left and middle is a four-piece satin wedding gown with veil from 1932. The slip dress and veil are on the left and the split gown and belt are in the middle. To the right is a cotton/eyelet/cutwork gown from 1908. The groom and the bride [wearing this gown] are shown in a copy of the original photo above the gown.

Family Room-SMALLS area: This is a [Ph.D.] graduation gown from the University of Oklahoma (Norman, OK) dated 1937. The graduation cap is nearby but we could not figure out how to get it on the wall.

Family Room-SMALLS area: A vintage Chinese embroidered kimono which the client's grandmother purchased in the 1940s while visiting China.

Family Room-SMALLS area: A vintage hand-made Mickey Mouse costume: black one-piece, shorts, mask. The client's mother made this outfit in 1928. It is very scarey!

Family Room-SMALLS area: A collection of 1940's CAMPFIRE GIRL ceremonial gowns. Some have beads and merit badges.

Family Room-SMALLS area: Two Victorian open crotch/split leg pantaloons. Prior to this fashion invention, women found it difficult to use both hands to gather up all of the fabric of their gowns AND "draw" down their underwear at the same time just to go to the bathroom. This garment allowed them to comfortably just squat over the chamber pot or out in the field on the trail. Whoever would have thought that the uptight Victorians were the inventors of crotch-less underwear!

Family Room-SMALLS area: Three costumes: left one is a "Happy Go Lucky" Raggedy Andy (copyright 1941); middle is an Indian costume; the right one is "Heigh-Yo-Silver" Lone Ranger (1940s-1950s - L.R. Company, Inc.) with sidekick "Tonto" on the left and trusted horse "Silver" on the right.

Family Room-SMALLS area: ....and the family pet is not to be forgotten: a dog's costume. Yes, there are openings at both ends so he can breathe and .......

Family Room: Just a portion of the many vintage and antique dolls, doll furniture and accessories.

Family Room: More dolls and doll furniture. The dog on the top shelf (right) is a STIEFF. On the second shelf to the left is a HARROD'S bear. On the third shelf are two Disney 1930's metal tea sets. The two dressed rabbits on the lower shelf are sold as a pair.

Family Room: A vintage kidney-shape desk (55" wide x 26" deep) with two drawers one each side and one tummy drawer has lots of wood carving and claw/ball feet. To the left is a 2-volume set of books titled "The Rise & Fall of the Confederate Government" by Jefferson Davis. To the right is a 3-volume set of books titled "A Compendium of the War of the Rebellion" by Frederick H. Dryer. Both sets were illustrated by Bell Irvin Wiley. In between the books is an ornate silver book stand. And, hanging on the wall is a 1700's Japanese scroll. To the right is a brass/cranberry hobnail floor lamp with hurricane shade.
