Billie & Bill Roberson came to Hernando in 1965. Bill began installing water meters to all residential and commercial customers as the owner/ operator of DeSoto County Water Maintenance. At one time he was maintaining, reading meters, installing new meters, repairing all leaks and extending water mains as needed to 24 water systems in DeSoto County, Tate County and the City of Hernando. In the early 80’s he purchased a few privately owned systems in DeSoto and Tate County. With these acquisitions he established North Mississippi Utility. Ms. Billie spent her entire life being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother for her family making sure that all that they needed each and every day was provided.
Their home was filled with beautiful furniture, crystal, vintage Harmony House Ironstone Aurora, beautiful Bulova Wall Clock, hand quilted quilts, costume jewelry, Bose radio, glassware, linens, china, home decor by Oriental Accent, Thomasville Dining Set & Console Cabinet Buffet, large framed & mated "Desoto County's Fourth Courthouse" signed by Betty Malone and numbered 222/2000, TV's, Washer & Dryer, Black Refrigerator, Yard Art and much more.
