Dr. Darrel Nicholas and his wife Carol resided on Hilltop Drive in Starkville for over 30 years. Darrel was a lifelong academic and finished his career as a full professor of Forest Products at Mississippi State University. Carol grew up in Kansas and was a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs football fan and had season tickets for over 50 years. Darrel was originally from South Dakota and spent many years in Hawaii.

The Nicholases were world travelers and enjoyed extended trips to exotic destinations both abroad and throughout the Americas, plus extended journeys to Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, Russia, and the Far East. Carol enjoyed collecting and acquired an eclectic collection of souvenirs and other items from their travels.

The Nicholases had a "life well lived."

This home is full of treasures from their years of travels around the world.

Monday Facebook Live Online Only Sale Shop from your home! Just go to Beard’s Furniture and Antiquities FB page at 6 pm CST. Each item will have a number. The first person to get the item “wins” the item. Pay and pick up at Beard’s Furniture and Antiquities in Columbus Ms. Location is 248 Chubby Drive. We will announce pickup dates.

You will find fantastic tools, lots of wonderful art, Mid-Century furniture, designer pieces, A large closet of ladies clothing including St. John Fashions in sizes 10 and 12. Also Silk scarves, hats, men's clothing, perfumes and cologne in original packaging.

Be prepared to stay awhile to meander through the home. You will find treasures in every room.
