POST WAR/CONTEMPORARY ART COLLECTION OF CHARLOTTE ARTIST PAUL BARTLETT (1881-1965)

 

Caring Transitions is proud to present this unique opportunity to view and purchase art work by famous landscape painter, art teacher and poet, Paul Bartlett. Originally from Massachusetts, he attended Phillips Exeter Academy, Harvard University, School of the Art Institute of Chicago and studied in France.  He exhibited at the Pennsylvanis Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia (1920's-1930's).  In 1944, Bartlett moved to Charlotte, NC and taught at the Mint Museum of Art, Burton Institute, Guilford College and other schools. The Mint Museum presented the Paul Bartlett Retrospective Exhibition, September 2- October 27, 1959.  This collection of over 25 original watercolors and sketches, was compiled by his wife and artist, Kathleen Mary Booker Bain.
