A wonderful and very high quality 19th. century French Greco-Egyptian St. ceremonial water vases in painted and gilt bronze. The complicated moulded Belgian black marble bases are supported with gilt lion claw feet to each corner. The body of the vases are decorated with Greek mythological figures in relief and are signed by the artist : Henry Cahieux (1810-1854)and forged and signed by : Ferdinand Barbedienne (1810-1892).
